No digital copies, but much, much better packaging.... and real artwork on the discs as opposed to a crappy looking discs that leaves them very, very vulnerable to visible fingerprints and smudges.

I liked the art on the trilogy dvd set from 2005. It was the movie poster art. Very cool. I can get the discs out of the tray, but I still really don't like it. I keep feeling as though I'll snap the disc. Whoever designed the trays should be fired. Not just from their job, but from life it's self.

Got my tin yesterday. Usually I am filled with buyer's remorse when I order something like this ("did I really need to spend 20 extra dollars for these extra crap that I won't ever look at again?"). But in this case, it was well worth it - the extras and the tin itself are incredible. My 7 year old - who recently got into the movies when they recently aired over and over on Nickelodeon - loved the stuff even more than I did. He loved the photos and the newspapers, and he went absolutely bananas when he saw Gray's Sports Almanac.

Thinking about ordering the UK version, which will be the 1st thing I've ordered from Amazon.co.uk. How are US customs with Amazon UK orders? Will it get delayed/opened/etc...?

For those in the US that ordered the normal UK set did it arrive ok?

It was my first time too, and I just got it yesterday (along with Almost Famous). Anyway, there was no customs issue I guess. It certainly hadn't been opened. The box they were shipped in wasn't my favorite choice of packaging, but they arrived fine. I love how the BTTF trilogy is much thinner than the US version. It's a nice looking set, but I haven't opened it up yet.

Finally got my tin yesterday. I was really impressed by how much they included in there. Sure, a lot of the material could have been done with a little more precision and thought, but it's damn awesome for fans of the series. And I like that the digipak inside can be removed for easy shelf placement. Def one of the coolest sets I own.

Sadly, cool box sets like these are becoming a rarity in the USA these days.

I finally received my tin after almost a month of waiting and it was well worth the wait. I'm a huge fan of the series so I loved all the extras they managed to fit in the set.

Got my normal version from Amazon UK today. 7 days to get to the US. The envelope they put it in looked great, but the set is crushed. :(

I've only had one experience with returns from Amazon UK. I ordered the Phantasm sphere and it came pretty well crushed (the packaging is terrible.) After a couple e-mails back and forth with a specific person, he said it would be too much to send it back to the UK, so he said keep the set I had and they will send a new one. I received a replacement shortly after. Most of all my other purchases were "normal" DVDs/Blu-Rays.

Actually he said I could go ahead and "throw away" the set that was crushed while they shipped a new one. Yeah right.

Picked this up recently and had a great trip down memory lane with these movies.

But what kind of a jackass came up with the packaging? I actually broke one of the plastic "springs" and it's actually a chore (and rather frightening) to take out and put away each disc. I really need to get some replacement cases and print out some custome covers.
