The new blu ray of original Fright Night that I ordered off of Walmart online this past weekend it came in the mail today. another classic 1980s horror flick from my childhood days getting the proper special anniversary treatment with alot of good bonus behind the scenes features.

Great movie that, like Network, always presented a situation that was slightly hard for me to fully buy in decades past given how cartoonishly exaggerated the subject matter or character was.
All that is gone now.
Both these movies are more horrifyingly relevant than they've ever been.
Other than that aspect, it's just a solid movie in general- well cast with great performances (including a young Lee Remick), working from a strong script.
It's high at the top of my list when the sale in July rolls around.

In addition to Paul's take above, Andy (yes, Matlock) Griffith's performance in this movie is a force of nature.
Subsequent TV shows subdued him, but here he shows his full range as an actor, and it's seriously one of the best cinematic performances of all time.

Target has a bunch of movies with slipcovers featuring iconic lines from the movies, and my DVD of The Wizard of Oz was showing it's age so I picked it up for $7.50. I'll add a pic of the slipcover tonight.
