In this case, the the discs are housed securely, easy to remove and nothing plastic to possibly break. I've had a few cases where the hubs have arrived broken so there's a floater rattling around. No floaters with cases like these.

If you want a nice set but with broken hubs or clips, more power to ya.

I think we've all experienced broken hubs and clips before in the past, but I still maintain that plastic is better than paper. And if you do get a broken case, you just exchange it for a non-broken one. Most of us go to these stores enough that the extra trip isn't really an inconvenience.

These discs might be secure, but tons of sets like this aren't secure or they're so secure that getting them out scratches the disc. Think about it this way too, which are most likely to stay nice in the long-term, paper cases or plastic ones?

Can you elaborate? I just perused a few of 'em. Is this where the corporate guy is starting to lose it and Lang grabs him by the neck and basically growls at him? Different strokes, cause that scene came off as ridiculously cheesy to me.

I had to clear the cache on my PS3 and disc 2 played fine. Now off to the deleted scenes

Just picked this up... Great set, love the packaging, though I think the inner portion fits a little too tightly in there. I have to squeeze my fingers in to pull it out.I'm looking forward to watching the 3-hour cut and some bonus materials this weekend.

Picked up the new release yesterday and loved the new extended version. With this new release is there any reason to keep the original 2 disc bluray/dvd version?

Yeah, that and the outer slipcover is a little tight. The slip could've been a little heavier too, I saw more than few at stores that were pretty banged up. Thankfully mine arrived in pristine condition today.

Not unless you need the DVD for some reason.

My copy arrived and I just watched the Extended Cut. It was my first time seeing Avatar at all. It was a good movie.

I have a question for people from Italy:

can someone confirm that italian edition of Avatar Extended (3BD) has polish (polacco ) subtitles and/or audio track?
