Maybe there's no commentary on the "The End" for the same reason the repeat of the finale wasn't "enhanced" for the last 20-25 minutes: because the producers want to leave it open to interpretation. Maybe?

Yes, the producers have stated that they are officially in "Radio Silence" regarding the final episode. They want it to speak for itself, and will not discuss it.

Word of warning to anyone that has this expensive set pre-ordered. I watched an animated unboxing of the set, and guess what, the dvds are housed in those damn cardboard sleeves which stratches up the discs! No thanks, I'll still with the regular season releases.

BDs have a scratchproof coating so the cardboard thing isn't really an issue.

Still makes the set feel cheapy, imo. Maybe it's just my player (PS3), but it is very sensitive to any kind of surface issues. I can have a fingerprint on the disc, and it won't play right.

Christ - I just saw pictures of the regular blu-ray set someone posted on Bluray.com --- They've used a slimmer case for Season 6

you know, I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if that was part of the reasoning to do this. they know they'll piss enough people off and it will make them pick of the complete series.

I could dig this small set if they had done them from the start. My BD shelf space is coming at a premium and I have about a hundred of them in 2 stacks on the floor. My tv sets though don't go in those stacks.

Thing is, I still much prefer the individual seasons. That complete series looks like a complicated mess.

Total BS that they are going with a different style of packaging. I don't think that's fair at all to those of us who already own the previous Blu-ray sets. So now I know to wait on a major sale of S6 on Blu-ray. Or better yet, maybe they want me to wait a few years for the complete set to go majorly on sale... swell. This really bothers me.

I think you all are forgetting that there's already a big lack of consistency in the packaging of the previous five seasons. Season 3 came in that box that none of the others have. On the rest of them, the spine art doesn't line up right from one season to the next.
