I ordered the UK one, because I don't want to wait until August for Scream's version.

When I saw Barker at a screening of the Cabal Cut of Nightbreed, he said not to expect The Scarlet Gospels before 2015.

I know there is a lot of controversy regarding the transfer on Arrow's BD, but I got it for about $20 and I love the extras on it.

I want the French BD as well, but it's a bit high price-wise.

Yeah, I did some reading on it and looks like I may have to invest in the French version, too, but I can always participate in a group buy to lower costs. For now, until I get my Arrow UK version, it's streaming in HD on Amazon via PRIME, so I'm happy.

Please explain. I don't know the allegations of plagiarism and I'm curious.

That was from the PR release. I just read up on the controversy. I had no idea!

I know, right? That came out after the Lifeforce artwork was revealed (sure enough, there are things in that artwork that can be traced back to other sources; it's a shame, since the artwork looked really nice). It is honestly surprising that Shout has continued to use him on releases like The Fog, Prince of Darkness and now this release.

They aren't the only ones, however; Fright-Rags.com put up a RoboCop shirt for sale not that long ago that he apparently did the artwork for as well...

Maybe this will mean their releases will be cheaper in the near future.

Haha no I agree, and I was just joking, I highly doubt that was intentional.

Actually, when you pointed it out I felt kinda dumb because now it SEEMS intentional. I think you're right on the money, Duke.

This long-overdue release has been requested several times since we started the brand so we know many of you just jumped for joy. (We're jumping too!) What makes this even more exciting is that this title has never been released on ANY home entertainment format in the U.S. or Canada (and is often bootlegged as some of you can attest to) so to be able to bring this out period is a feat in itself.

No further details to report back at this time but we'll keep you posted on developments in a few months. The artwork you see - which uses the original theatrical poster - is final.(However, the flipside will have the other poster art some of you may remember with a girl running from flying alien discs.)

I haven't seen Without Warning. I looked it up and it doesn't sound like anything too special to me but I might be wrong. Of course with a few rare exceptions (Alien and The Thing come to mind) I've never been the biggest fan of sci-fi/horror crossovers. Still though being a Scream Factory title it does kind of catch my interest slightly as I've liked or have been interested in a lot of the titles they've been putting out.

Do you like the original Predator? This is the movie it's taken from.

I didn't realize that. This may interest me a bit more knowing that.

I like sci-fi/horror when they achieve a certain atmosphere, as ALIEN and THE THING masterfully do. What I'm not the biggest fan of are the more action/comedy sci-fi creature flicks. I recently watched SYNGENOR and thought it was a piece of shit.

A large reason THE THING and ALIEN are 2 of my favorite films is because of the atmosphere. The creature FX in THE THING are awesome, but they're more than an FX showcase reel, they're crucial to the film's story and the tone of the film.

I've been disappointed in my last few blind buys from Scream Factory and other boutique labels. Are there any low-budget 80's creature flicks that aren't generic knockoffs of ALIEN or THE THING? (Sorry, not a fan of LEVIATHAN.)
