Zombieland-2/2/10

Re: Zombieland-2/2/10
I don't have a problem with $24.99 for a new-release Blu. I just don't like paying $29.99. I did it for Moon, but that's one of my top ten of 2009, and even then it still hurt my wallet.

I found a copy of the 2-disc "Nut Up or Shut Up" edition @ BB. Seems to be fetching a high price online, so I'm debating whether or not I should keep it or sell it...

I've traveled many many miles to many Best Buys for that damn edition. I know it's probably not worth it, but it's now an obsession. The money I've spent on gas could cover the inflated cost, but out of principle I'm not paying close to what others on ebay are.

Re: Zombieland-2/2/10
does the nut up or shut up edition have a different sku number, cause that would help trying to track down a copy of it in store i would think.
I know the cover art is differnt but what about the sku and would someone who has the nut up or shut up edition be cool enough to post that sku number?
this is one of those times where it justifys me going out and buying movies 1st day, i waited till the following thursday and totally missed out.

I haven't seen this one to be certain, but they probably did with "Zombieland" just like what they did with their exclusive version of "Inglourious Basterds" (which was available in limited quantities with a bonus disc there).....it had the exact same UPC as the standard copies without it, and the only way you could make out the regular ones from the exclusives was a sticker on the front slipcover....

Since I want the bonus disc but can't find it, is it wrong for me to ask for someone to burn copy of the bonus disc for me? I just want to see the footage, and it's not on YouTube or anything. What a crap way to hav a special edition.

Does anyone know if there was a rental only version of this with no extras? I bought a used copy off of Amazon Marketplace and the seller said it was a rental. I didn't think about it until after I placed the order and it's already been shipped.

Re: Zombieland-2/2/10
I went to Best Buy on the day after the release day (Wednesday), and it was out of the "Nut Up or Shut Up" BD. I then called every Best Buy in town, and they all told me the same thing -- sold out. So, instead I bought the "Nut Up or Shut Up" DVD at the time. Recently, I bought the regular version BD of Zombieland via Craigslist for $10. So, now, I feel that I have the "Nut Up or Shut Up" edition BD, even though it doesn't have the orange-red border on the cover artwork.

I have not tried CraigsList, I am going to look at it tonight.
We rented ZL and loved it, very funny in a gross way, the movie did not take itself seriously.

The one from Netflix was the regular version with everything, not a "rental version". In fact, when I put it in my PS3 and came back, the icon was for the digital copy and I was so pissed for a minute, thinking they sent me the wrong disc. Then I realized it created two - one for the Blu-ray and one for digital copy - so all was well. Never seen the digital copy on the same disc before.
