Disappointed to see this film isn't getting the HD treatment, as I already have the (beautiful) RHV disc.

Preorder the "Metropolis" BD+DVD Steelbook edition and get a Metropolis T-Shirt.

Only for the next 48 hours.

(And everyone wants to know, Region coding is still not finalized)

Just to clarify, the steelbook itself will still be available after the free T-shirt promo has ended, although it is still a limited edition.

There is no way it won't be B-locked.

Yes, it's Region B. There's a thread discussing this and other MoC Blu-rays here.

But you can see it in cinemas the next week-end, together with Au bout du souffle.

Nice find! Abhijan probably looks better than any of the other Ray DVDs.

Great deal on La Notte. I had been meaning to upgrade my Fox Lorber disc, which has conveniently gone OOP. If it sells, it will pay for my MoC purchase and a little bit more.

Tempted by the Naruse set, but decided to continue to pass (ditto on the 12.99 and up BDs).

If you're even a casual fan of classic world cinema, this is a must-own set, especially at £13.99. It even includes a 184-page book. Here's the DVD Beaver review.

I'm certainly interested in the Mabuse box, and the BDs, but I don't think I'll have the funds any time soon.

Or Nabuse.
I actually am interested in both. Obviously I made a joke here, and i have the two Naruse box sets already (MoC and BFI), the first one as a personal purchase, the second one as a gift, and they haven't disappointed me one bit.
I guess I'm aiming for some good deal on the Mabuse box set as well.

I'm also holding out for a lower price on the Mabuse set. The Naruse set is, of course, excellent.
