Disappointed to see this film isn't getting the HD treatment, as I already have the (beautiful) RHV disc. |

Preorder the "Metropolis" BD+DVD Steelbook edition and get a Metropolis T-Shirt. Only for the next 48 hours. (And everyone wants to know, Region coding is still not finalized) http://www.eurekavideo.co.uk/kevin/i...K_packshot.jpg |
re: The Official Eureka / Masters of Cinema Thread
Just to clarify, the steelbook itself will still be available after the free T-shirt promo has ended, although it is still a limited edition.

re: The Official Eureka / Masters of Cinema Thread
Extras on La Signora Di Tutti:
* Beautiful new transfer from pristine film materials in its original 1.37:1 aspect ratio * A new and exclusive video essay about the film by film scholar Tag Gallagher * Optional English subtitles * A lengthy booklet containing a new and exclusive essay on the film by filmmaker and critic Luc Moullet * and newly translated excerpts of an interview with star Isa Miranda, and remarks by director Max Ophuls. |
re: The Official Eureka / Masters of Cinema Thread
There is no way it won't be B-locked.

re: The Official Eureka / Masters of Cinema Thread
But you can see it in cinemas the next week-end, together with Au bout du souffle.

Nice find! Abhijan probably looks better than any of the other Ray DVDs.

http://www.eurekavideo.co.uk/offers/MoChome.html Tempted by the Naruse set, but decided to continue to pass (ditto on the 12.99 and up BDs). |

re: The Official Eureka / Masters of Cinema Thread
I'm certainly interested in the Mabuse box, and the BDs, but I don't think I'll have the funds any time soon.
|
re: The Official Eureka / Masters of Cinema Thread
So which one is better, Mabuse or Naruse? :D

Which are you more insterested in? Science Fiction madness or Human conflict dramas? I actually am interested in both. Obviously I made a joke here, and i have the two Naruse box sets already (MoC and BFI), the first one as a personal purchase, the second one as a gift, and they haven't disappointed me one bit. I guess I'm aiming for some good deal on the Mabuse box set as well. |
re: The Official Eureka / Masters of Cinema Thread
I'm also holding out for a lower price on the Mabuse set. The Naruse set is, of course, excellent.
