For better or for worse it's part of Planet Terror. another RR film. If you bought the EXTENDED cut of Planet Terror. The trailer is there..know why? Cuz it's a fucking RR film and it preceded Planet Terror. So it's just inherently part of the film. Gah.

For those of us who have not seen Planet Terror, is the trailer actually shown in the middle of the movie or something, is that what you mean when you say "it's part of the movie"?

It's shown at the beginning of Planet Terror. The rest of the fake trailers were shown in between the two movies.

No the only movie being made is Machette, and that believe it or not was allready in the works, before Grindhouse even officially hit theatres, Harvey and bob weinstien were talking to Danny Trejo about it in the lobby durring the L.A. premiere back in 2007.

Thanksgiving was only a rumor started online, Eli Roth comes into my work quite a bit and i actually asked about if that was going to be the case one time.

Well that interview is dated 2009, When I heard straight from his mouth that he said it was a rumor it was back around the time of the first dvd release of planet terror and death proof. So perhaps things have changed since then.

I loved the theatrical experience, but I also love the uncut versions of both movies. Will I have to hold onto Death Proof and Planet Terror as standalone movies or will the uncut versions be included via seamless branching on here?

Not an authority, but I would think you'd need to keep the uncut versions if you wanted to see them.

I wish they offered an even Deluxe-er version that'd allow me to get rid of the individual releases, or didn't bother with Disc 2. I don't like owning the same extras twice.

This is awesome. Got the 6 discs for both DVDs from Best Buy, and now this complete set for the low price. Hopefully that's the complete package (aside from having the cleaned up transfer of the extended flicks on BD).

I'm pleased to also have the ee's on Blu-ray. They are good flicks in their own right, and I really enjoy the extra QT dialogue on Death Proof.

I'm so excited to get this version though, as I never saw it theatrically. Now.....what to do with my DVD SteelBooks.

I am a little annoyed that all the extras for the extended editions are on there (minus the Best Buy exclusive stuff), but having never seen the original cut, I am willing to live with it. And ordering this @ $13.99 didn't hurt either.

Although to be fair, having a four-disc set might be cost-prohibitive, and a lot of the people who are interested in Grindhouse probably already bought the standalone releases as it is.

Yeah, I'm ok with this too. The stand-alone extended versions have been out for a long time, and under $10 often.

I'd rather not double dip and have to pay a 4 disc set price.
