I didn't say I was surprised, just disappointed. Some websites do honor pricing mistakes, like when the Halloween deluxe set from Scream Factory was priced for $20 by TCM.

Weren't the majority of those cancelled? I know mine was.

Lots of folks on BR.com received them apparently.

Which didn't make any sense because TCM were honoring multiple quantity orders but were canceling single quantity orders! :gah:

Mine wasn't. I ended up getting it for free.

In my case, the order was indeed cancelled. But then I received a box from TCM anyway containing the Deluxe Halloween set with a packing slip for the order they had cancelled. Definitely a mix up between those handling the orders and those shipping the orders.

In the end I got the set for free.

More Kieślowski is always good.

Wonder if they'll ever do The Dekalog.

Whatever happened to the extended/special edition of Blue Is The Warmest Color they promised a while back? Shouldn't it have come out by now?

I think they have the rights to all of the old Kino Kieslowski titles that are now oop. Dekalog should come eventually.

The director put the extended cut on the backburner and decided to make another movie. There's been no indication whether he has picked up the project since then or if he will in the near future. I'm sure Criterion is waiting for him to either create the extended cut or nix the entire idea. If it goes forward, you'll probably hear about a theatrical release or a French Blu-ray release before they announce a new Criterion edition.

Speaking of AWOL extended cuts, weren't they also going to eventually put out a long cut of Malick's Tree of Life?

I'm getting Moonrise Kingdom solely to hear Bill Murray doing an audio commentary.

man the last sale really warped my expectations with the 15 dollar credit if you buy a 75 dollar gift card. I might just have to wait until Nov/Dec again and go nuts.
