Maybe Year of the Dragon is tempting if it drops to $10 or less.

Gah. Another Stephen King movie, but Warner still refuses to even add Storm of the Century to the Warner Archive Collection. I don't want to be stuck with a shitty double sided DVD forever.

Eye See You special edition is coming out next April. It will also include the mostly unseen cut called "D-Tox" which was the international theatrical version.

I actually have a Hong Kong VCD of D-Tox that I got years ago.

I recently re-watched this on Prime video. It's an okay 1990's style thriller.

That says D-Tox will be SD.
That can’t be right.

Yea it is. Because D-Tox came out in the early 2000s on DVD overseas and was never mastered in HD.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV
A lot of "alternate" cuts seem to be locked to SD resolution. Especially for movies from the 90s and early 2000s.

Let's hope it looks better than the dated transfer that has been circulating on cable for years. Hasn't Stern more or less disavowed this movie because it's connected to his first wife? Doubt it will have any new special features.

Maybe that is why it took so long for a Blu-ray release.

That's the kinda sad part about watching this movie now. It was basically a love story and well done love letter to his then wife.

Damn...I’ve hoped for years Criterion would do this right. There are supposed to be tons of outtakes and unused footage.
