Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program
I just got off the phone with customer service. Although my tracking number shows they received my covers on May 13, they still aren't showing up in the system. The CS person said the warehouse may not have gotten around to checking them in yet. A week seems a bit excessive to me, even if they are getting slammed.
She also said that, yes, "Casablanca" is still backordered, as is "Troy." |
Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program
Well, hopefully they are holding my TROY for me as when I talked to them only Casablanca was on backorder. I sit and wait now...lalala.

Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program
Wow almost my entire order is now on backorder:
Troy Superman Returns Matrix Collection Batman Begins Harry Potter Guess I'll be waiting the full 4-6 weeks to see mine. |

Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program
Yeah, I just realized Batman Begins is on backorder also....that is 3 of 7. I wonder if my others are now....who knows. They got my covers April 29th also.

Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program
I seriously doubt that they're managing 'orders in process' for those with a couple titles on backorder. They'd minimize average wait time by shipping orders as soon as they have the necessary stock, without regards to what other outstanding orders are waiting on. That approach would keep more customers happy as compared to delaying some orders so that they could keep boxes of incomplete orders sitting and waiting on backordered items. I'm guessing most people will be happy with the turnaround time and a small percentage of us will end up waiting forever. I figured as much going in and will be happy as long as I eventually receive all the titles I ordered.

Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program
This is something I have been wondering, and I apologize if it's been answered. Would this fly if I sent in the artwork from my copies of Harry Potter I got from EzyDVD? I imagine it wouldn't pan out but I was just curious if anyone else tried this or even though about it.

A rep there confirmed they'll take international covers. I'd say YMMV though, as it doesn't state that anywhere.

Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program
I just sent in an order with ultimate matrix, troy, and superman returns and now I read they all are on backorder. I'm sure I'll get that one soon.....;)

Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program
Finally got charged for my Matrix set I ordered on April 22 (mostly my fault because I forgot to update a credit card that got stolen)... hope that means it's on the way.

Besides, with a projected 4-6 week turnaround on orders, they can afford to hold stuff for earlier orders. Otherwise it will start to get ridiculous. |
Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program
Well, still have not been charged yet....they received my covers on the 29th of April.

Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program
Two questions:
1. Have any Canadians that have tried to take advantage of this been successful yet? I know some people sent in the covers from Canada using a US address to get the replacements sent, so I was curious if it has been done successfully yet. 2. Have any of the titles that were pulled from the list showed up again? I don't think so, but I remember someone posting in one of the threads that a CSR said that the removals were temporary and would eventually be added again. |

I had to wait for them to comeback. Only one that is missed was the Planet Earth boxset. |

I sent it in a regular envelope, and put the prepaid USPS sticker on the front, along with sufficient Canadian postage to get it across the border. Once across, it was picked up in the USPS tracking system and was at WB the next day. |
Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program
Received all 25 of my movies on Friday and only took 5 weeks to receive them.

Detailed Results: Delivered, May 18, 2009, 9:59 am, HOWELL, MI 48843 Arrival at Unit, May 18, 2009, 8:12 am, HOWELL, MI 48843 They have no other information than that. I can't remember, exactly what day I sent them on, but I don't think it took too long before I checked and it was listed as delivered. And it only took 1 hour and 47 minutes from the time it arrived in Howell, MI for it to be delivered. In and out, it seems, which is odd to me. But oh well. Now I just sit back and wait for all my backorders to come in. I do hope that I get them in time for me to watch the Harry Potters on Blu-ray before the new movie comes out. Yeah, I have them on HD DVD, but my player isn't hooked up, anymore, and if I'm getting the blu-ray copies, I'd rather watch them to make sure they're OK. If not, they'll just sit around for while before I even watch them (which would probably be when the 7th Harry Potter movies comes out, if even then :) ). |
Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program
Well, I wouldn't be surprised if the packages which are getting shipped to various states and cities, have more than one tracking number on the outiside. I would certainly be interested in finding out if this was the case.
