I also received the email this morning. However, they just received my shipment last week. Problem is I have like 4 titles that are on back-order.

it may have taken almost a month for my covers to get there, but my order was fulfilled within three days (and included the "pack in" version of 300]). the code for the buy 2 get 1 BD from warner came in the email sent when my covers were received and being processed.

Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program

I received the "We got your covers!" email today.
I hope they ship soon, as I will be in Denver next week and the week after, so I'll be able to pick them up myself as opposed to getting a friend to ship them to Canada :)

Maybe, just maybe, all the backordered items have been received at WB.

I just got my cover notification Thursday. Haven't heard anything further yet. Hoping those discs will get in the mail soon! Happy to see I'm not the only one who had a wait until receiving notification.

My 25 blu's arrived this afternoon. No loose discs and all seem okay. Order originally mailed 4/22 (the day the promotion started), so nearly six weeks to completion.

No. I have Casablanca to swap out, but didn't include it on the order and will wait till Warner Bros. drops the large box of extras.

Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program

Just received a call back from a red2blu supervisor (I had emailed after receiving another, 'any day', now response) after asking why red2blu can't get Blu Rays that anybody in America, and probably the entire world, can readily buy almost anywhere?

I was told that Planet Earth and Casablanca will not be available for 2 or 3 weeks. When asked why they can't ship partial orders, she said they could but I would be charged the shipping charge for each order. I asked, at what point does red2blu start feeling a responsibility for the long delay and start shipping partial orders without charging additional shipping charges. She said she would look into seeing if she could waive the additional shipping charge and ship the other 22 disks in my order.

I am supposed to be waiting on a follow up email from her. I will post back the results...

Too bad we keep getting false information about getting more stock of Planet Earth and Casablanca coming 'any day now'. Of course, the supervisor could be wrong as well and these titles could be shipping tomorrow, or already even. I've lost faith in the information coming from red2blu.

Luck all,
George

Did they send you a shipping notice via email?

It is weird how Planet Earth and Casablanca are "backordered", as I see billions of copies of these at each store I go to.

Slightly related, but when I called to check the status of my order today, they offered a ship partial option, with Casablanca to be sent later. For an additional shipping charge, of course.

Mailed my covers out on May 12-13 (don't remember the exact day), received my movies today. I ordered Ultimate Matrix, Batman Begins, and The Departed.

My brother mailed his cover out the same day as me, and got his Ultimate Matrix yesterday.

Both of ours were delivered by UPS, and we received email notifications that they were shipped out.

I think the problem is that these expensive sets aren't made in large quantities. Most of what has been made has been sent to retailers, without a lot of backstock sitting around in Warner's warehouses. Then this program is announced and what stock they had disappeared rather quickly.

That makes some sense, but what about those that sent their orders in the very first day (like I did)? I have not heard of ANYBODY getting Planet Earth or Casablanca. They must have had SOME stock. And, if they did run out fast, how come it is taking so long to replenish their stock. You would think that there would be at least a few reporting getting these titles eventually.

I'm guessing the person who called me today was not a supervisor as I never heard back from her as promised. She was the one who told me that they were not expecting ANY Planet Earth or Casablanca for two or three more weeks, her exact words...

Good idea but poor execution in my opinion. From not having enough stock to not getting emails out as explained in the promotion material, to not being able to replenish stock within a reasonable amount of time, just poorly executed from the get go.

Luck all,
George

Has anybody created high quality scans of their covers that they'd like to share? I have a crappy scanner. I plan on scanning my covers this weekend so I can finally mail my order in. But I'd much rather print new covers from high quality scans, if I can find em.

I saw a thread in the HDD forums that had a bunch of them posted, it may be in the HD DVD forum but I'm not sure.

I just talked to customer service because I had to change my shipping address. Since I sent in my order, I was contacted about a new job, applied for it, interviewed and was hired, so I'm moving to another state.

Anyway, the CSR said they still have no idea on how long it'll be before "Casablanca" will be available, but it could be another four to six weeks, as of June 8.

I'm at 41 days since Warner's receipt of my covers; they've got one day left:). And yes, Casablanca and Planet Earth are part of my order along with the Potter box. I'm not holding my breath!
