Correct on everything I believe. I'm going through it today so I'll double-check all of this. Luckily most of the above is throwaway except the Isolated Music track.

It'd be interesting if they could add the isolated tracks as BD-Live downloads. A 192kbps DD 2.0 track would only be about 134MB.

Anyone get an early copy of this yet? Is there are a rebate for SD DVD owners as with the other Pixar titles?

This is news to me. How long has this been going on?

My Best Buy had this out today. I picked it up as it was marked 27.99. When I got home I noticed I was charged 34.99! I will have to get it pricematched. It also had two tickets for Up! Score.

Re: A Bug's Life coming in May

it rang up 34.99 cause they broke street and the sale price doesn't apply until next week. it'll be interesting to see what they say when you go back for the price correction

Yeah, but it says 29.99 on it, and they had the sale price of 27.99 up as well, which is the same as Amazon.

I wonder if that was a fluke, or if they are giving out two since Monsters, Inc. got pushed.

Any word on a DVD rebate included?

My copy only had 1 free ticket.

I believe every previous release had a $10 rebate for SD DVD owners of the same film. Cars, Ratatouille, Wall-E had this. Wall-E is still going, btw.

I like the music tracks...but if it didn't make it what are you going to do. The other stuff missing is not a big deal at all.

I didn't have this one on DVD, so I am on it.

Bring on The Incredibles already!

I didn't see anything that would indicate a rebate if you owned the SD copy.

I saw a couple of copies out today at Best Buy. $29.99 sticker price. The website has it on sale for $27.99, in case anyone wanted to do in-store pickup to get it on Tuesday.

Picked it up today. No rebate, only one ticket and they didn't have any Pixar posters in stock. :grumble:

On a much better note, the movie looks FREAKING AWESOME! I really enjoyed watching it again. :)

Since it does not come out until Tuesday that makes sense.

If they hassle you about the pricematch then just repurchase it and return it with your receipt from today. My Best Buy knows that if there is a better price to be had within the 30 days to expect me at the customer service desk. They might not like it but that is the price of business.

Watched A Bug's Life this weekend and it was the first time I've felt like the image was three-dimensional... I wanted to reach out and touch the plants. Great, great job by Pixar here.

Re: A Bug's Life coming in May

I'm really surprised by how low key this release is for Disney....I mean, Target and Toys R Us are not even carrying it, I'm not seeing a load of commercials for it (I did see one on HD Theater), no good sale prices, nothing....I mean, I thought this was being released to promote the new film, Up, especially since it comes with a ticket voucher for it, and I am seeing a ton of press for the new flick....why not throw a quick mention in at the end of one of the Up commercials at least or something.....
Even if ABL is now in retrospect considered one of the "lesser" Pixar films (only since others have become even more popular/successful later on), I'd still think they would be doing a bit more promotion for the high def debut of this one....maybe they scaled back their promo push once they delayed Monsters Inc.?

Target is in fact carrying it. It just isn't on sale. I picked mine up this morning for $29.99

Toys 'R Us is carrying it but might not have it in stock. I called mine and the sales clerk looked it up in the computer (lists it at $26.99, best price by $1) but it was not in stock.

They are giving the posters away with ANY Pixar purchase so it is quite possible that some stores might run out before today.

I had no problems getting one with ABL today.

I guess it will be hit and miss depending on your local Target as the one I went in this morning did not have it and said they were not carrying it....

My Target had 2 whole copies.
