Well all of my cases were broken in some way... these three-disc cases are just unwieldy. I'll probably ditch the digital copy and replace em with two-disc cases. If most of the extras are in SD why couldn't they fit them on the movie disc?

Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009
I saw an entire section of movies at Best Buy that had movie cash. Is it possible to just buy one of those. Take it home. Peel of the sticker and return the movie at a later date/different store?
Do you think they would be on the lookout for this? Oh and P.S.... You can pick up Robots for 4.99 and get a Coupon towards the wolverine movie in theaters. Just a little FYI for people to know. |
Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009
Picked up the trilogy at Costco today. $49.99 with movie cash.

Saw the trilogy set at Borders today w/ movie cash. It was way too much $$ but in case anyone shops there and needs it. $79.99 + 20% off I believe but YMMV

Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009
FYI, the back of my original release X3 The Last Stand reads AVC @ 18 mbps. The new version from my box set reads AVC @ 19.5 mbps. I wonder if it looks better?

Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009
Those are just averages, as bitrates rise and drop to accommodate what is happening on screen. I never saw the original disc but I doubt the new one looks drastically different.

According to all the reviews I have seen, there is a very slight improvement in the picture quality, but it isn't a dramatic difference as both are sourced from the same HD master.... |

Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009
Its no assumption at all,and its been that way for a while now.
a family member works for AMC corperate in the marketing and booking dept.,(hence my i have not had to pay for any movie in many years post a few posts back) and they arent the only theatre chain not to accept them for the reason of having issues with being reimbursed by that company Pacific theatres, also does not accept movie cash, or emoviecash for that matter. along with a few others.

what's your source for that assumption/news flash? If that's true then I'd side with AMC. But at the moment if free movie passes are the norm, I'll just go those theatres that are participating.
As for the discs with movie stickers and Best Buy: I went over after work yesterday, and the discs on the shelves had no stickers, yet there was a alot (with stickers) in a middle of the aisle display. No prob, got my X1 and X2 - hooray! |

Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009
So no one is pissed about the gimped extra features?
There is no pip/bonus view/ime on all 3 movies for the american release The UK release has pip for all 3 movies. So basically, what we're getting on the extra features blu-ray is identical to the extra feature dvd for x1.5 and x2 |
Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009
Not really, especially if the PIP features are just the same behind the scenes info already on there simply spliced into the movie while it's running.
|
Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009
The set is still excellent though.

I have not checked yet, but are ALL the deleted scenes present for X3?

Bonus View (40 minutes) Not a lot there for a PIP track if that is accurate. |

Anyone else confirm no movie cash with set from Amazon? I hope I'm not the only one.

Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009
As I live in the UK the e-Movie cash means nothing to me, so if all you need is the code and nothing else send me a PM if you want my code.
Code now gone. |
Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009
I didn't...and of course today there is a promo where you buy the set and get a free ticket. Ugh. Tempted to just swap my copy at Best Buy for a ticket version.

Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009
My Best Buy has restocked the trilogy sets and of course they now all have the movie money sticker on them. :mad:
I knew I should not have opened mine yet. |
Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009

Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009
I figured they might get sets in with the movie sticker so I didn't open mine. I bought it on Tues to lock in the price this week. I'll check my BB and if they have sticker sets, I'll make an exchange. Thanks for the heads up.
