I kept my box on the shelf, but I flipped the inner part around so that all the spines are exposed and facing out.

Can someone tell me what the big deal is here? All this complaining about missing vouchers to a few shitty movies? Really?

Are you serious?

One, the release was advertised to have the movie cash, so it's screwed up that they're not there. Second, is it that hard to believe that people buying X-Men would want to see Wolverine in theaters? Really?

Seriously, why even come in here and read 7 pages about X-Men if you think the movies are shitty? Really?

It's pretty obvious the X-Men franchise is popular and those of us buying the BDs would want to see Wolverine and free for that matter.

Would you have not bought them is there was no movie cash? Just seems more than a little petty to me to go on about it like this. And word is that everyone would be better off NOT seeing the Wolverine movie.

Seems like most stores (at least my local Future Shops and Best Buys) didn't get a whole lot of stock of the Trilogy boxset. I wonder why that is ...

I mean, the shelves at my local Best Buy are literally clogged with dozens of copies of the Batman Anthology but each store only got a handful (it seems) of X-Men Trilogy!?! Looks like the stores in the downtown core are already sold out of the set, so I'm glad I picked up a copy from Future Shop yesterday.

A dealership tried to sell me a new car without windows. I spoke up and exclaimed that the advertisements showed windows, etc. The guy told me to stop being so PETTY and at least be happy I'd be getting a car that drives.

That sucks about your car, but try to stay on topic in the future.

I'm getting mine without movie cash  Still, given $10 per movie ticket, or multiple tickets if you're buying individual releases, it seems pretty obvious to me why people care since it ends up being a pretty nice discount/deal. That and the whole principle of the thing being advertised but not being delivered on.

And I've heard both good and mediocre reviews about Wolverine, but not nearly as bad as X3. Doesn't change people wanting to see for themselves. Plus, Night at the Museum and Ice Age are also big money makers and attract a big family audience.

Of course it's a big deal (to some). If you go to the movies, and I reckon that most of us here obviously do, then it is basically $10 cash. If the BD you are interested in came in two flavors, with $10 cash or without, and the cash version was advertised, you'd expect that version, and would be annoyed if the store didn't have it.

I'd rather watch most movies at home than at the theaters anyway (especially for the three movies in question). Now if it had been a $10 Blu-Ray voucher, then I would have been concerned.

I've never had a problem trading in my free tickets for movies that I actually want to see.

Or, once you're inside the multiplex, as long as it isn't a sold out show, I doubt anyone will care what theater you end up in.

So how does X-Men 3 stack up against the previous stand alone release in term of video qiuality? Is it the exact same print? I have X3 and am debating buying 1&2 or maybe just buying the whole box set.

Well, if they're vouchers for any movie, or a movie I'd want to see, I can see you point. But I didn't think that people here would be interested in the 3 flicks in this offer.

(and every account I've come across agrees that the Wolverine movie is far, far worse than X3).

Its a voucher to see 1 of 3 Fox films this year and I imagine a good chunk of people who are buying (or rebuying) this on Blu-ray likely would want to see Wolverine.

That isn't possible in the current space-time continuum.

And I think most people who go to movies would have at least some interest in one of those three films. Not that that really matters.

Unless they're comparing X3 to that unfinished leaked version.

Ah, but let's not forget the old "judge a movie by its unfinished work print" routine....
While I have not seen this leaked version (and have no plans to), I don't think it is fair to review a movie when it has not had its final cuts made in editing, had reshoot footage integrated, and special effects completed....

Well all of my cases were broken in some way... these three-disc cases are just unwieldy. I'll probably ditch the digital copy and replace em with two-disc cases. If most of the extras are in SD why couldn't they fit them on the movie disc?

This thing is really hard to find in my area at least. Two Targets and three Walmarts are sold out. I wanted to get the movie cash and use my papa johns coupon, but it looks like I gotta pick it up at Best Buy.

I'm sure people here would like them if you're going to toss them.

a couple things
if you are looking for the Trilogy box set at Target and WM you are wasting your time as they are not sold out.... instead neither retailer is stocking the Trilogy, just the stand alones
how dumb is that ..... yes pretty darn dumb

if you are looking to use the PJ coupon I would assume again you are looking specifically for the Trilogy set and the odds of you finding one at BB with movie cash on it appear to be zero %

might be time to re-evaluate what is most important to you

Saw the trilogy set at Borders today w/ movie cash. It was way too much $$ but in case anyone shops there and needs it. $79.99 + 20% off I believe but YMMV
