Anyone know if they have this at wal-mart? Since Target doesn't have it and Circuit City closed, I don't have anywhere else to go to use the coupon.

I went by Walmart today and they didnt have any X BD's at all in singles or trilogy case. I picked it up at Costco for $50 w/ Movie Cash since i never got a coupon.

I'm planning on trying to use my 3 movie cash codes to take my daughter and wife to see Ice Age in 3D since it will be the most expensive and will allow me to get the most value out of the 10 dollar max for each one. It is rather silly that they did it this way since these stickers aren't too difficult to pull off and since not all of the releases have them.

The single BDs and the Box Sets at the BB at Northstar didn't have any stickers.

Luckily, the Legacy store had a bunch of the singles with the sticker, but the Box Sets had none.

So I got all three singles for $55 (X1+X2=$35; X3=$20) and $30 of Movie Cash! ;)

The single ones with movie money at Best Buy are on an separate aisle browser with all the other movies that are part of the sale and have the stickers.

I just used my coupon and got the trilogy. I decided I wasn't too worried about the movie money.

I tried peeling one at Best Buy. They're not that easy to get off, otherwise I would have stuck one to my trilogy.

I agree, it's unfortunate, but they haven't been accepting MovieCash for a few years now. I guess they're just plain cheap and don't want to bother with free movie customers- also something which makes no sense as money is made on concessions, not admissions. Sucks for me as they're my local theater and my next closest theater is over 10 miles away.

That sucks. Instead I've sent my wife 175 miles for my movies(nearest BB) and pizza(closest particular place out of the 2 in my state).

She actually went because my kid is at some chorus thing but I might as well make my wife useful in her absence.

Amazon.com - ever heard of it? If I sent my wife (well, Girlfriend) 175 miles for a Blu-ray I would not expect to see her naked for some time.

Anyone know the reason for this different approach in doing things? Why not just use the inside-the-case method in the US as well?

I haven't read the details of the Movie Money offer on the front sticker of my copy, so I apologize in advance if I'm talking outta my arse :)

You are talking out of your arse :) We used to have movie cash that was paper, like they HAD in the states, but for Quantum of Solace, Day The Earth Stood Still and now Wolverine, Museum, Ice Age - the STICKER on the front has the code on the back, that you enter online to redeem for the ticket... If your X-Men doesn't have the sticker, you are SOL because the sticker is the thing (and it's outside the shrink wrap so anyone could walk into a store and rip it off).

Today at Future Shop they had a shit ton of DVDs that now have this particular promotion on it - ones like Wargames and Elektra for $8 etc. where it is almost CHEAPER to buy one of these movies and redeem the free ticket instead of just going to the theatre and buying a regular admission - crazy!

no I'm shaking my head at the thinking that AMC are truly braindead at turning away folk who might potentially purchase concession - their bread and butter.

Both X-Men and X2 came with movie money stickers, thankfully.

My trilogy came from Amazon - no free ticket. The only sticker on the case is "9-disc set" but no mention of a free ticket :(

X-Men and X2 were $16.99 at Fry's ... both had movie cash. Came out to $33.98 and 2 tickets, wheeee.

They also had the Trilogy set (w/ movie cash) for $59.99 but it did not appear to be on sale. X-Men 3 was also not on sale... but it sucks, so who cares? :)

Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009

I went to Best Buy on my lunch break and while they had a tag for the trilogy box, there weren't any on the shelf. Didn't see any of the single copies on the shelf either. I hunted around and found them sitting on a cart, along with 2 trilogy boxes. Neither of the boxes had movie cash, and only a few of the single copies did. I decided to pass on getting it and let my friend grab it for me from the FOX lot store.

Kind of crummy with the movie cash stuff. I remember copies not coming them from the Bond movies too. I don't understand why it's so hard to have these on the initial run.

But maybe if you lived some place that was 175 miles from the nearest Best Buy or pizzeria, your girlfriend would be a little bit more desperate for "entertainment" though, eh? ;)

BTW, none of the Trilogy boxes had the movie cash stickers at my local BB. I'm not sweating it.

well if you were the head of a theatre chain, would you continue to work with a promotional company that doesnt follow through on reimbursing your company the agreed upon amount for each promo pass. and AMC is NOT the only MAJOR theatre chain that doesnt deal with the clowns at Movie Cash.

You would need the code off it, yes.

I opened my trilogy last night. Probably more of a personal preference, but I can't believe the factory sticks the stupid Digital Copy in the primo spot in the case and the movie disk on the flap, so I switched it. I figure the most important disk should get the case's main hub.

Thanks for setting me straight ;) I took a closer look at the sticker on the front of my copy last night and it does say "E-Movie Cash". Guess I better make sure to redeem the ticket from my work PC, as I haven't had a working printer at home since 2004 :P

Ha! I thought I was the only one who did that!
I always put the first disc with the actual film in the spot on the right (the main hub as you are calling it)....I do this with two disc releases too, as sometimes the first disc will be on the left side, and I also think the actual movie should be in the "primo spot" and most easily accessible on the right....I don't like to have the movie disc hidden underneath some inserts on the left....

what's your source for that assumption/news flash? If that's true then I'd side with AMC. But at the moment if free movie passes are the norm, I'll just go those theatres that are participating.

As for the discs with movie stickers and Best Buy: I went over after work yesterday, and the discs on the shelves had no stickers, yet there was a alot (with stickers) in a middle of the aisle display. No prob, got my X1 and X2 - hooray!

Yup! I've always done that, even with DVDs. The movie disk should be the easiest to access.

I also shelved my trilogy without the big bulky box. It was too much of an eye-sore next to all those other nice slender Blu-ray cases.
