Re: What was your 1st Blu-ray?
I got I, Robots, The Devil Wears Prada and Kingdom of Heaven (DC) with my blu-ray player. First blu-ray I purchased was Planet Earth (David Attenborough version).

I hate to admit it, but the first one I bought was the Target exclusive for Indiana Jones and the KotCS because it was on sale for a good price and it looked sweet.

Pre owning a bluray player, the Transformers - Dark of the Moon combo pak. With the bluray player, Lord of the Rings (extended) and The Big Lebowski.

Like a few others here, I also bought a few Pixar combo packs (including Up) before I owned a Blu-Ray player. Just for the record, I believe my first Blu-Ray review was for Michael Jordan to the Max.

The Prestige
I ended up getting it free from some website that was giving Blu-rays away for filling out a survey or something. It was before I had my first Blu-ray player.

Hmmm not sure but I think it was Terminator 2. First movie I watched on blu was Max Payne (there was not much to rent at Blockbuster back then).

Batman Begins, Pan's Labyrinth, The Last Samurai, Matrix Trilogy, Mission Impossible Trilogy and V for Vendetta in glorious HD-DVD format! I got them on Frys for dirt cheap once they were getting rid of their HD-DVD inventory, I was sold on HD quality since then and have been happy getting more blu-rays and HD-DVDs

First blu-ray I bought was Pierrot Le Fou Criterion in September 2010. Shortly after I got The Dark Knight for $9 from Amazon as #2 but, to this day, I have not watched it.
I did see it once in the theaters though.

Re: First Blu-ray/HD-DVD title purchased?
My first HD-DVDs were V for Vendetta, The Searchers, and Casablanca on November 16th, 2006... shortly before I picked up my XBOX HD-DVD drive. I ended up with 50 or so HD-DVD titles which now live on the Bottom Shelf of Shame. I regularly turn the ones I've replaced with Blu-ray versions into frisbees.
My first Blu-ray was Halloween (original) on September 27th, 2007. Scary to think I'd have more than 500 titles more in those 4 years or so, lol.
