Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief. The combo pack was $5 at Walmart.com back in September. I bought a blu-ray player about 2 months later. Still haven't watched it.

Re: What was your 1st Blu-ray?
Does the 'Last Waltz' BD presently available really include a DTS HD MA track? I received the BD/DVD combo yrs ago as a gift and assumed that was a misprint. (I already owned the Sony release, included in one of those five free titles promotions that were part of the late lamented "format wars.")
I kept the combo sealed and I suppose it remains a re-gift option, but did not realize that Fox had reauthored the disk. Not that this matters in any way: I'm pretty sure the PCM sounds identical to the DTS HD MA.
To play along: pretty sure my first BD was 'The Road Warrior' (Mad Max 2!)

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
Came with the first batch of the launch PS3 systems. Then turned around and sold it on eBay for $30
. Those were the good ol days when it seemed like the movies cost an arm and a leg.
The first movie I bought though was 300 when it first came out. And at the time I thought that was a steal for $20.

Re: What was your 1st Blu-ray?
First one I owned was Talledega Nights, which was given to me by my brother, and it was given to him by someone else, but he didn't have a Blu player. Actually at the time I didn't even have an HDTV, but I had a PS3, so at least I could watch it, even if there was really no benefit to it being on Blu.
First one I purchased was Snow White. I still didn't have an HDTV at the time, but when I found out that with Disney coupon, and a TRU pre-order, I could get the combo pack on release day for somewhere in the neigborhood of 6-7 bucks, it was a no brainer.
I continued to purchase Disney releases like this, still buying everything else on DVD, until I finally got an HDTV (sometime in mid 2010), then, after seeing the huge difference on my new TV HDTV, I switched to buying nothing but Blu's.

Another vote for Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby with a PS3. Sold it when I discovered there was an "unrated" version available.

Re: What was your 1st Blu-ray?
It was a deal to sell the 'fat' versions since it was right when the prices dropped to introduce the slims.

It was one of these 2:

First Bluray deal, all 3 of these from AMAZON for $10.97 with some crazy promotion they were running (Cars wasn't combo returned it after Christmas):

Re: What was your 1st Blu-ray?
Cool. Maybe I should break the seal and check it out. It's one of those titles that has caused some friction in my marriage since I have followed the opening onscreen instructions often, particularly with the blu-ray.
