Re: The Bourne Collection - 1/27/09

Amazon has a new listing of the box set for June 22 and a lower list price of $69.98. The current sale price is $41.99. I'm guessing this set will have the non-combo discs. DVD Empire is calling the set "Repackaged", so maybe it's just a cheaper made box.

That's a great deal too. $42 for all 3...assuming they're non-combos, which I am thinking they will be.

Perfect. I figured they would at least have them on sale to coincide with Green Zone, but this reduced price is even better.

Awesome. This has been a high want for me for awhile, but I didn''t want to pay the exorbitantly high price. I'm in (probably day 1) on these.

Wow. That took them how long to finally drop the price on this? I'm fine with my UK box set, and it's still at a cheaper price.

It always bugged me (sort of) that, of the HD DVD releases (which I have) Ultimatum was a flipper while the first two were not. If the price ever drops to around $20-$30 for the non-flipper BD trilogy I might pick it up.

That's why I got the UK set since it's region-free and was only $27. Still is right now, even with VAT and shipping.

Bourne Trilogy - June 22
Last I heard it's just a normal cardboard slip like (like Resident Evil Trilogy).

I would guess then that this is just a bundling of the existing flipper discs. Somehow I doubt Universal would go to all the trouble of printing up new covers for the non-flipper discs and stick them all into individual cases, when they already have individual cases for the flipper versions ready to go.

Ummm... The non-flipper discs all have individual covers and cases already.

My mistake, I forgot that the current boxset had individual cases inside the sturdy outer case. For some reason, I thought it was a digi-pack inside.

Re: The Bourne Collection - 1/27/09

These could still be the combo discs. Walmart.com shows the audio as DTS-HD MA, and DD 5.1. BN.com includes "mixed media" in the product title.

Re: The Bourne Collection - 1/27/09

The repackaged set comes out Tuesday. Has anyone spotted these out early anywhere? I have a feeling they'll be the combo discs.

Re: The Bourne Collection - 1/27/09

Someone at AVS posted a shot of the back info sheet, no mention of DVD + Blu-Ray.

A member on blu-ray.com bought the set at Walmart. They are non-combo discs.

FWIW, there really hasn't been too much, or any, trouble with these new blu-ray/dvd combo discs.

Re: The Bourne Collection - 1/27/09

Dammit! I heard in church today there is a special place in heaven for the first one to get it and now I'm out of luck.

Actually I'm still using the HD-DVD's I got with the player. Will upgrade when the player dies but they're still working fine. Is a nice looking box set though. Even though I'm not a collector of the box sets, I do like how the BoB and The Pacific tins look while prominently displayed on the shelf

That is a nice design. I like how the Bourne figure is magnetized and pulls back for the user to open up the box and get at the discs.

Re: The Bourne Collection - 1/27/09

I'm actually confused about this. Seems like Amazon is still selling that version. If it's OOP or rare..then...it's not really rare if Amazon still has it.

it's rare because xage says it is, thus upping his profile and ego.
