The Ultimate Edition is the same old blu-ray right, no new transfer?

Correct, just with all the extras that were previously only available on dvd.

Apparently the last transfer was pretty good.

There was a TV version that aired on NBC in November i think that ran 3 hours with commercials, meaning they probably cut some 40 minutes from the movie possibly more so

Yeah, there's a good 2 hour movie in there somewhere. The mini-series we got exhausts me just thinking about re-watching it.

It might be even more than that. I remember seeing when Jurassic Park was on commercial TV it ran 3 hours and it is a two hour movie.

Please, God, let this retain all of the previous extras so that I can finally chuck my production diaries, extended DVD, post-production diaries, and Blu-ray to save room.

Whoever first gets it, you will post what all the extra are, won't you? Please.

i was gonna ask how its possible to fit 13 hours of video on a blu but if its all standard def, shouldn't be a problem, as the Alien Legacy set has 3 hour docs for all 4 movies plus little deleted moments

I dig the three-disc case for this thing that's the size of just one. The off-brand ones I buy are a little too thick. First world problems.

I gotta say, I got the Production Diaries when they came out, and they really are some of the coolest BTS special features I've seen, regardless of what you think of the movie.
