The Day The Earth Stood Still I thought this was quite crappy. It was like watching an Al Gore documentary; recycle that plastic bottle or space aliens will destroy us for being selfish

Which one? The original is one of my favorite movies of all time, so... I'm pretty sure your referring to the remake.

Just curious.

Rachel Getting Married
and
The Wrestler.

Double Feature night!

Both were excellent films and I was expecting it with The Wrestler, but I was very surprised with how good Rachel Getting Married was.

X-Men - PQ and AQ were both fantastic.
Iron Man - unfortunately I was watching on my PS3 and the sound wasn't that great and I was wondering why. Checked the Iron Man review here and found that my PS3 had DRC turned on. Turned that sucker off and WOW is that soundtrack impressive!!

Figures. The original is a classic so of course you wouldn't knock it. I have no intention to ever view the remake.

Bedtime Stories not a bad rental. Probably would not be one I would own but pretty enjoyable for a one time viewing.

Point Of No Return a fairly decent action film with a smoking hot Bridget Fonda

Bride Wars.

Was the GF's night to pick a movie and she knows my dreams of one day fingerbanging Anne Hathaway. Terrible film, OK PQ. Nothing special.

Bride Wars.

I'm all for chick flicks and happy endings, but ICK.

Only redeeming quality was that my purchase ($12 from CH, at least it was cheap) hopefully encouraged the studio to continue packaging a standard DVD with the Blu-ray.

X-Men - An awesome film with Good PQ/AQ. I'm watching X2 tomorrow if all goes well and then I'll go see X-Men Origins: Wolverine sometime this week. I hated X-Men: The Last Stand so I'll be skipping that one over forever.

Just watched this one. Loved the gritty look to the movie. Was rather disappointed that the audio was 448k. Couldn't they have at least gonee for 640k if it was not to be lossless?

Great movie nonetheless.

Closer.

HD agrees with Natalie Portman. Great PQ. The fucking disc has like a gajillion subtitle options, which is weird.

Still no extras.. I guess they're waiting for the "Fucking Caveman Edition!"..

First 2 eps of ST: The Original series. Of which, I've never seen a single episode before.
