Stealth All braun, no brains movie but a total ass kicking PCM track and the obligatory Jessica Biel in a bikini. I had the SD and had a chance to grab a used BD so I upgraded and must say my ears are still ringing from that soundtrack.

Caddyshack- Probably the most eminently quotable movie I know of. The HD disc is only marginally better than the SD but I have to see this movie once year.

Interview with the Vampire
Hellboy

Interview was mostly great all around. Hellboy was fun, and had a "this could have been a complete wreck, but Ron Perlman made it work" feel to it. Heard the second one was better, too.

The second one is indeed better, IMO.

Wonder Woman

I think I'm coming up on owning 150 Blu-Rays, & I have to say, this may be in my top 5 favorite that I own, given the quality of the movie, great docs, & overall quality. Better than probably about 95% of live-action comic book movies.

Pan's Labyrinth - Wow. I can't believe I put off watching this for so long. Best film of 2006.

Notorious - Looked and sounded great. Good performances all around. Better than I thought it would be.

Spoiler:
Good opportunity to pin the blame on someone and they didn't go that route. Kudos for that.

Sin City looks stunning and sounds incredible. Disney hit a homerun here. I have a feeling this will be on my top 10 discs for the year.

Midnight Meat Train. easily one of the worst and most pointless films I have seen to date. PQ & AQ were spot on.

Troy... WOW. PQ was spectacular. Audio, I thought, was fairly good, considering it wasn't lossless.

Mummy 3. Looked and sounded great, but the movie's plot was incomprehensible and just not as fun as the first two.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Excellent flick. Liked it a lot more than I was expecting to.

Bram Stoker's Dracula. What a mess of a film. I can't believe this is from the same director as The Godfather. I had never seen it before and I am very disappointed in the film overall. It had some interesting moments, some of the performances were good, the music was nice, and yet overall the majority of the film seemed unfocused, a mess (the script was terrible), and poorly directed. This also had one of the worst Blu-ray PQ/AQ presentations I have ever encountered. I would not reccomend this as a blind buy to anyone.

I like the film, but I agree that the transfer is a mess, way too dark!

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

Van Wilder HAd seen the movie numerous times but for some reason picked up the Blu version. Very nice PQ and AQ although the 7.1 sound is wasted on a comedy.

Firefly disc 1. I saw them before when I rented them however I picked this set up this week from Half.com so I'm jumping back in. Probably the best series to not it I've seen. I can't believe they pulled the plug on this thing.
