"Rumble Fish" Criterion BD.
It's a terrific package if you're a fan of the film. I hadn't seen it since the days of VHS, so I was open for an awakening ...and it just didn't happen. The individual elements are great, -score, cinematography, cast, but it just seemed to try to hard to be a painfully serious "Art Film"* that it never really gelled for me.

* and Francis Ford Coppola has said he was sort of aiming for that.

Been curious, and desirous, to see this movie ever since I first put together a proper HT- but there had never been an edition of it that held up to a big screen until now.
Did not disappoint. Superior work by all involved that added up to a hell of an experience.
A downer of a movie, but fascinating all the way through.

Not a big 2Pac fan but this movie was entertaining though a lot of people thought it was mediocre.

Maybe I was not in the right mood to enjoy it.

Watched the last episode of Continuum this evening: Final Hour. Interesting series. As someone at Amazon said, "Bittersweet ending". I agree.

Not one of Sean Penn's better movies

It started out ok and then flatlined

Ike Barinholtz was the best thing in the movie.

re: Last BD or 4K UHD disc you watched?

Our local library FINALLY started renting out Blu Rays, and this is one of the first ones they got in. Watched it with the family and we really enjoyed it. I wish Disney would do more nature documentary films. The last couple have been really good.

I thought it had potential (some of the acting was pretty good) but overall it was mediocre.
I expect better from the guy who made such greats as Exotica, The Sweet Hereafter and Felicia's Journey.
