I got this so I could do an A/B comparison of UHD vs. BR. The UHD disc definitely had noticeably richer, deeper colors and detail. However if you're comparing the two, the BR would be a 9, the UHD a 10. In this case the 4K was $6 more than the BR. In the future, much more than that wouldn't be worth it, but if they are close to the same price I would pay a few extra bucks for the UHD set.

In spite of him being a nutbag with his Scientology stuff, he does put out entertaining action movies. The story itself was fairly generic but it was entertaining. Smulders was good looking and believable as a soldier, plus she pulled off the athletic parts with aplomb.

Hollow Man...terrible, but Verhoeven terrible with some good effects and over the top performances. And Rhona Mitra...mama Mia!

Rare, semi-deeper catalog classic that fully lived up to it's reputation. Knowing the general premise (but not knowing story specifics), I had my doubts that it would be possible to squeeze enough tension across nearly 2 hours of screen time. But they did it. Early on it became obvious this had to have been adapted from a stage play, but that hardly mattered.
Not without flaws or at least one annoying logic hole, but overall one of the most purely entertaining movies I've seen in a long time.
And it also contains one of the best, and most literal, jump scares I've ever experienced.

Watched The Sorcerer's Apprentice this evening...

Jack Reacher: Never Come Back to the Cinema

One of those movies like ID4 that never needed a sequel.

Yoga Hoser. This was not that bad and quite entertaining. Lily Rose Depp is a dead ringer for Anna-Sophie Robb. I don't think Harley Quinn Smith will get a lot of movie roles unless her dad casts her.


Sully. A good movie.

Oh, I turned Inferno off less than 30 or so minutes. It was terrible. And I'm not wasting time on terrible movies anymore. Just don't have time for that shit...

Inferno is good, but nothing like the first two. The first two spent so much time setting everything up and it took forever, and Inferno does the opposite. It would have been better as the first movie in the series. The 4K presentation is nearly flawless and the Atmos is reference.

Speaking of reference, also watched the UHD of John Wick. Damn fine presentation.

And finally saw The Arrival, albeit on Vudu. Wasn't excited by it, but it wasn't bad by any means.

We fell asleep watching Inferno the other night. It was actually kinda funny coming up with theories on what we missed, since we only saw the first 25 mins or so and then the last 20 mins. Our theories are probably better than what we missed.

Even though Inferno was kind of sucky I stick with most movies like football games to the end even if they are blowouts and that is my flaw.

This movie just keeps getting better with each viewing!

Has everything you'd expect from a Statham movie. Alba is terrible but Statham has a huge body count. Not that my ears can notice much of a difference but this disc was DD only.

Strictly a rental. How Alba get away without nude scenes is a mystery. Usually just talented actresses have that clause
