The Nina Simone documentary is probably better. A lot of people were pissed Zoe Saldana got the role since her skin was not dark enough.

Wonder why Ethan Hawke and Paul Giamatti agreed to do this movie since it felt like a made for TV movie.

Money Monster

I thought it would be good since Jodie Foster was directing. Julia Roberts is so overrated and she raises her voice in every movie thinking that qualifies as good acting.

Barnes and Noble is just amazing. They are really stepping up. After a very happy marketplace transaction to pick up the "Halloween Deluxe Collectors Edition," I ordered "The Frankenstein Legacy Collection" for about $22 and also threw in "Shakespeare in Love" for $5 to qualify for FREE shipping. What a surprise that it showed up in my mailbox barely 4 days later. While I anxiously await my replacement copy of "The Wolf Man Legacy Collection," I settled in to watch "Son of Frankenstein" and "Ghost of Frankenstein." All I can say is WOW! These films have never looked and sounded better...very pleased indeed!

Finished The X-Files Season 2 last night. I'm still not over how amazing it looks in HD compared to when I watched it in the 90s.

The Shallows (2016)


Surprisingly very suspenseful B shark thriller. I was really entertained and it went by really fast.

Captain America Civil War

2 hrs and 27 minutes is too long! Everybody complains about the length of the Godfather movie but if you add 20 minutues to every F*ckin Marvel movie they are about the same length!

Rented The Conjuring 2 over the weekend. Thought it was pretty good and didn't feel like 134 minutes.

Some pretty good jump moments and practical special effects.

I own the 1st movie, which I picked up for like $7 or 8 during the Holidays a few years ago. I may get this down the road if it falls in that price range.

We watched that over the past two nights. I didn't see any reason why the movie needed to be that long. We also watched the first over the weekend in preparation and it was so much better than the second. Overall it was still a good movie, just not a great sequel.

Popstar...barely made it through, but I did. Not my humor. Did like the last song. Michael Bolton has an amazing voice.

Far more emotional to watch with Bowie's passing. I wish they had included the music videos as well. But it was still a handsome presentation. Also checked out "Werewolf of London," which is far more creepy than the later, "Wolf Man" with Lon Chaney.
