Sisters

I thought it was a fun movie. Miss them on SNL

Some jokes fell flat and were beaten to death but there are not a lot of comedies being released these days and maybe only 1-3 big comedies per year which are usually saved for the Summer.

My first Star Wars film and I absolutely loved it. I just ordered the complete set of the other six films and can't wait to watch them.

Watched Lucy this evening. Don't care what the naysayers say, we liked this movie!

You're not watching the proper releases there, mate. You can torrent the DeSpecialized versions online and also the Team Negative 1 version for Star Wars, too.

How about that.

Hadn't seen that in a while and it's good mindless fun although more sedate than a White House Down or Olympus Has Fallen

Room

Thought it would be a sappy Lifetime movie but it was ok.

The Matrix Reloaded.

In The Heart of the Sea

It was ok but maybe if some other guy was the lead and not Chris Hemsworth it could have been great.

That guy is so ordinary and don't understand how he became a big star but probably he will no longer be a headliner since most of his movies bomb at the box office.

re: Last BD or 4K UHD disc you watched?

Tried to watch Purple Rain on HD-DVD but the stupid thing won't even load anymore. I went through 5 copies just to get one that didn't freeze in the middle, now it won't play at all. Watched the Blu-Ray instead and it's one of the worst Blu-Ray discs I've seen due to too much content on a single layer disc. I should see if my Caddyshack HD-DVD is rotted yet; that has one of Warner's beautiful screen door transfers.

My Caddyshack looked beautiful the other night and that was one of my first high definition discs.

First week I got to rent some Blu-Rays in awhile.

Ride Along 2 was a pretty forgettable and by the numbers buddy cop movie. I surprisingly liked the 1st movie, but didn't really care for this one.

Krampus was alright. Felt weird watching a Christmas themed movie right now. Some of the creature effects were cool.

Watching The 5th Wave today

Edit: Finished The 5th Wave. Very disappointing movie. Squandered a potentially good science fiction movie to have teens/youngsters fight among each other for the 2nd half of the movie. Wasted some good actors like Liev Schreiber and Ron Livingston.
