Watched The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies this afternoon while we ate dinner and finished it up this evening.

I find Olivia Wilde incredibly hot but this plays like a 75 minute episode of Twilight Zone. This was the most basic type of "look one way, look the other, something jumps out", kind of horror film

The Duff

No Holds Barred. A unintentional comedy.

McFarland USA. It was better than what I expected.

I know this didn't get the love but I really liked it. The scene where Natasha and Happy take the warehouse is one of my favorite of the trilogy.

Anyone here watch Strangerland yet? I really wanted to like it, but it fell apart for me at the end.

If you dreamed of watching a Dreamworks movie with Rihanna doing the vocals and a Rihanna soundtrack this is the movie for you.

An OK rental but very derivative. Even makes mention of time cop. Uses the broken fourth wall, camcorder style of filming. A group of nerdy genius teens, find deceased genius dad's plans and parts for time travel. After discovering evidence that they've already travelled they decide to try. It's fun at first but then they discover the butterfly effect. Each trip causes unexpected consequences that require another trip to fix however things keep getting worse. The actors were all likeable and the movie not too long but its all been done before.

Basically King Arthur but with Asian adversary. It too was an OK $2 rental but glad it wasn't a blind buy.

Wouldn't bother revisiting either movie.

Back To The Future depressed since I remember taking who is now my wife on a date to see this movie. Actually being 1985 we were probably engaged when this came out.

Heartbreak Kid Yes an HD DVD. I wanted to make sure the player still worked. I always enjoy this movie. Malin Akerman was fearless and Michelle Monaghan is the perfect girl next door type. My only complaint was it did get a little long when he got stuck in Mexico. They should have shortened that sequence to keep things moving.

I thought Akerman was hotter than Monaghan.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2

I don't know who was worse Kevin James of the fat heifer who played his daughter

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)

Maybe I liked it when I saw it in the theater but it was a boring rewatch.

Seriously, do you just rent every new title that comes to Red Box no matter what? Why in the world would you even bother with Paul Blart Mall Cop 2? It was a box office bomb and didn't get a single good write up anywhere. Unless for some reason you're a huge fan of the 1st movie?

I actually liked Project Almanac. The cast had good chemistry and it was a different take on the time travel genre. The lead girl Sofia Black D'Elia is cute too. However, I agree it's good as a one time only watch. I don't need to see it again.

Akerman is certainly more a traditional beauty. Monaghan usually plays characters that would seem more approachable. Anytime I see Akerman now all I can do is picture as the crazy broad.

Akerman was cyclops girlfriend in the original Harold and Kumar movie.
