Alien - What a fantastic looking presentation.

Transformers 2 - Absolutely stupid scripting and poor humor and I actually found the video quality uneven, but the action sequences are wicked and sound excellent.

I don't know where in Kentucky you live, jmsmath, but Baxter Avenue Theaters in Louisville is screening a 35mm print of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 16 July at midnight.

I'm in Bowling Green, but it would almost be worth the trip to see it on a big screen if it were being shown on a weekend. Unfortunately, work seems to get in the way of doing anything like this during the week.

Inside Man

Just Go With It Pretty fun movie. Brookly Decker is hot but would definitely take Jennifer Anniston givenn the chance

Platoon PQ is very good, AQ is mediocre to poor. Very little action from the sub and the low end is muffled, more like a TV speaker

Black Dynamite - had low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised.

Hot Tub Time Machine One of my recent $4 BB purchases. I'd seen it as a rental before and it was worth the $4 to me.

10 An old favorite from HBO many years ago. Made Bo Derek, cornrows and Dudley Moore popular. Recently picked this up with some birthday money. Nice PQ for an older movie but just mono audio. Funny how they showed an 8-track player in a Rolls Royce. Don't see many 8-tracks

Battle Los Angeles (2011): I didn't really care for this movie at all. Nice PQ and AQ but that's the only positive thing about it. Horrible acting, lame and thin plot and even the special effects weren't that great. AVOID!

Death Race 2000 - on a 70's genre run this weekend, fun tame movie overall. Was expecting more violence due to reading Elbert's era review prior to watching, forgot to apply a historical context to his comments

Independence Day I usually put it in after fireworks on the fourth but this year I have to work the next day so I put it in tonight instead. This is one ass-kicking movie in HD. Blows away the 5 star edition I replaced.
