Isn't the Director's Cut of "Amadeus" rated "R"?

I'll wait until I read reviews to make sure the TrueHD is actually on the disc. Already been burned with them before.

Ugh, maybe I spoke too soon. On second reading I don't see TrueHD listed for Wedding Crashers.

Nothing is listed. It might be DTS MA since NewLine was working on the title for well over a year now.

Let's wait and see what the PQ's are like too before breaking out the champagne. Because they still suck in that department.

I have History of Violence and Amadeus and I would upgrade both without hesitation.

I don't have Wedding Crashers, but both cuts on Blu, why not.

Looks like Generation Kill, the HBO miniseries, will be coming out on December 16, day and date with the standard DVD set.

Is that the cut where they show Salieri kill Mozart onscreen?

I'm in for all 3 WB listed above as well as Generation Kill.

I think that was in the international version, along with the highly controversial "bloodbath" ending. Supposedly there was another alternate ending, too, which involved some time travel stuff wherein "Chief" from "Cuckoo's Nest" smothers Mozart with a pillow.

In for Amadeus and Wedding Crashers. History of Violence fell apart for me upon repeated viewings, so no go for me.

So it looks like we are just getting the censored USA theatrical cut of "A History of Violence" ? Seems a bit crazy if the extras show the full uncensored shots. This was done on the DVD as well wasnt it? I just cant understand why.

Ditto for me. Hopefully Wedding Crashers is under $20 though, not really screaming for a visual upgrade for anymore than that, imo.

What was censored?

Near the end of the film, when our protagonist shoots a bad guy in the head. The blood splatter is less extreme. It's REALLY nothing to be concerned with, and Cronenberg himself dismisses it as being insignificant.

Me too. That was one of the best things I've seen on TV all year.

Now if HBO would just start issuing 'The Wire' on BR. Preferably starting with season five and working backwards...

The Wire on Blu would be a no buy for me...I love the show, but it ain't going to (and shouldn't) look any better...my opinion of course.
