A big meh. Maybe Creepshow.

I actually think this is one of Warner's more appealing waves. (I'm very careful not to use the word "better", but... :))

I'd buy Creepshow, Freddy vs. Jason, The New World, and the 'Saw remake.

Nothing of interest to me, other than Freddy Vs. Jason, which I already have on BD from Canada and am very happy with.

a festering pile of crap

If I didn't already have Freddy vs Jason I'd be all over that...but the extras don't really interest me so I'll stick with my Canadian copy. The rest just seem like titles destined for the Wal-mart bargain bin - Snakes on a Plane? Sphere? Dead Calm? Freakin' Catwomen? Paaaassss. I might grab Texas Chainsaw if it gets sub $10 which is likely the same with Creepshow.

Creepshow! I've already got the fantastic R2 disc for the extras, but I'll definitely buy this for the pq/aq.

Might grab FvJ, even though it does mostly suck. Over the Top... maybe. It's so bad it rules.

Prob. pass on TCM. That movie just doesn't hold up over subsequent viewings.

Catwoman and Over the Top on the same day! Can Blu-ray take it?

you don't hear this from me that often, but the film's violence/gore qoutent was just vile and very unpleasant. Great special makeup effects, but the whole tone of the film was exceedingly nihilistic.

regarding Creepshow - the cover art IS the same as the great one-sheet of the film - awesome!

I just watched some trashy Lifetime movie he was in with Kristie Alley - oi! that was painful, he was the only good thing about the tv movie.

Both Sphere and Creepshow are definite purchases for me.

I have never seen The New World or The Postman... I might have to check those out sometime. Perhaps.

Some good titles for September.

Probably will pass on upgrading the ones I have (Creepshow, TCM 2-Disc, FvJ)

I'm kind of glad when titles like these come out. It gives me hope that what I want will eventually be released. It makes you think that almost nothing is off limits.

Perfect. Yet another batch I have no interest in. Not only are those movies I have no interest in the BD, I have no interest in even owning those titles. The ones I wanted to see were rentals and that was fine. Damn this new policy of being particular is really taking the fun out of the new format.

I love The Postman, very excited to have that in Blu.
I'll also gladly take Nicole Kidman in Dead Calm in Hi-Def any day.

Wow...not one title in that batch that I care anything about. Many of these catalog choices are puzzling.

Totally agreed. That cover is terrible -- especially when compared with the nifty retro stylings of the theatrical campaign.

Dead Calm, yes. Everything else...a big no.

Surprised all kinds of news about the future, but so very little for July. Very different from my experience with BDs so far.

July seems very empty and usually the titles start filling out well in advance. I guess my wallet might get a month off, but I'd rather have Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, etc.
