Disney's always used lossless. Why is it so exciting that they're now using DTS MA?

Haven't the previous Pixar BDs all been PCM?

They should sound pretty much the same, seeing as how they're lossless.

That's my point Never understood why there are fanboys for audio codecs when they all sound the same.

Very true. Panda had the laughs, this has the heart, I suppose.

Kung Fu Panda was amusing, but I would never own it. Wall-E, on the other hand, is yet another Pixar classic that I can't wait to get my hands on. The two aren't even in the same league, imo. In fact, I'd say Dreamworks has never made a single animated film that could touch the worst Pixar movie, let alone some of the best.

Has Disney finally added the ability to bookmark scenes for the movie's resumption? It seems Disney and Fox are the only two studios to exclude that feature.

Were it not for the existence of Cars, I would agree with you wholeheartedly.

DVDBeaver's review is up!

Wall-E

However, if you haven't seen the film don't read the review, they post a spoiler in pic form.

Yea, I dont think any of the Dreamworks Animated films hold a candle to any of the Pixar films.

Wow, this includes The Pixar Story as a "special feature"?? And in HD to boot?! That's worth half the purchase price, right there!!

Not CG, but I'd stand Prince of Egypt up with the Pixar elite.

and Chicken Run, or Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the WereRabbit and I know I'm in the minority, but I loved Hoodwinked - only Entertainment Weekly (and I) gave it rave reviews.

I'm a huge fan of The Road to El Dorado, although almost no one agrees with me there.

Anyway, Wall-E looks awesome (the PQ, I saw the flick and know it's great). I can't wait for DVD Planet to get it to me!

I'll agree with you

even upconverted 'The Road to El Dorado's colours leap out and are simply stunning - it's a fun story, with great 2D cel animation.

heck, I even liked Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron

It's hard for me to consider Chicken Run or Wallace and Gromit as "Dreamworks" films because they're clearly Nick Park films. But I will admit I wasn't thinking of those when I made my comment, and they do stand up to Pixar.

Clarification - Its actually a 6.1 DTS MA. The case says 5.1 but others have told me its actually 6.1.

Any pics of the inside of the 3-disc case? I'm wondering if it has that same crappy, flimsy tray that WB used on Get Smart and Speed Racer.

There are pictures over at HDD...but no, its not. Is it much nicer and thicker then the crappy Warner ones used on those two releases.
