The "Expanded" label specifically refers to the episodes each including a couple extra minutes of footage.

If you watched the pop-up trivia reruns, the last few episodes were broadcast in the longer form then. For example...

Spoiler:
During the Oceanic 6's press conference, it's revealed who the other plane crash survivors that allegedly died in the ocean were supposed to be.

That snippet wasn't included in the first week broadcast.

Due to the attention span of a typical forum viewer, I'm not really picky about this post.

Hey, I did a search in this forum and couldn't find it mentioned anywhere. If you knew about this release already, why'd you feel the need to visit the thread at all except to simply ?

Theses BD prices are still crazy. $7 an episode is a deal breaker for me.

I won't pay more than $3 per episode. That MSRP is crazy.

You must like paying full price then. Amazon has it for $66.95 right now.* That's $4.78 an episode and not including extras.

*that is still high, IMO, especially for 14 episodes, but I was just addressing the $/episode numbers.

Well and S4 is significantly shorter too. I got S3 from the "gold box" back in February for $39.99 from Amazon. Here's hoping S4 is comparatively priced to THAT!

Season 3 was around $49.95 when I got it from Amazon. Same price as the regular DVD, I believe. I don't know that I would buy a season with 10 fewer episodes for that price even. It should be interesting to see how TV seasons from the strike era sell.

Tvshowsondvd.com is reporting that Buena Vista has lowered the SRP for the Blu Ray release of Lost from $96.99 to $69.99. Amazon currently has it for $49.99 but let's hope the price it lower. Also, the site is reporting that the Mobisodes are being included in the set.

Good. Considering this season has like 10 episodes less then previous ones it makes sense.

Cool...that Amazon B2G1 deal turned out pretty good for me. Godfather set, Lost S4, and Band of Brothers (which ended up as my free one, even though Lost is now lower than it) for about $109.

I was able to snag 2 copies of Band of Brothers on Blu-Ray and a copy of LOST: Season 4 for about 132 total. Not bad! Now I just have to wait for them.

I bought my season 3 when Amazon ran it for 29 for a few days. I'll wait for the same on this one.

Got my S4 Blu-ray today...and just as I expected, Disney changed the outer box. Gone is the nice hard cardboard style case with velcro and instead we get a simple slipcase. Sigh. Getting tired of the studios changing the way the slip cases look compared to other sets/movies (POTC, Smallville, Saw films etc.)

I never was lucky enough to get my hands on the S3 box, but now it looks like I have no reason to care anyway. O well.

I have the outer back for season 3, I care and I'm pissed that they didn't continue the trend. For what they're charging for far less episodes they could have at least continued with the outer box.

That stinks. So now I'll have S1 and S2 on SD sitting there looking huge, S3 on Blu medium sized, and a tiny S4.

Custom covers. The stuff consumers make is usually leaps and bounds over what the studios put out anyway.

I feared that this would happen.

I'm not going to be happy once I own the damn thing and have it on the shelf.
