Head over to TODAY'S DEALS from the Amazon website- that's where the deal of the day and the lighting deals are housed. Lightning deals are limited in time. The Resident Evil trilogy was at 6 AM Pacific time today and 100% of the allocated, discounted units were claimed before time expired on the lightning deal.

For those of you who don't have Stargate or Terminator 2, YMMV but my local Wal-Mart has these for $10.00, not too shabby..

I'm sure T2 will be getting a reissue next year for the new movie.

EDIT: Made my first DVD Planet order. Tropic Thunder and WALL-E for $47 shipped. Lovin' it.

Video Business article on Blu-Ray Black Friday deals.

Amazon will offer thousands of Blu-ray and standard-def titles at 40% to 60% discounts Nov. 26 through Dec. 2.

I fully expect Amazon to price match some of the B&M BF deals. Gonna save myself a morning our and grab a season or two of a show that is on sale.

As long as Amazon matches S1-3 of Supernatural for $15 each and S3 of The Office for $14 or $15, I'll get everything I want and be very happy.

Amazon has been pricematching many Best Buy deals lately. I'm sure they'll do the same on the Black Friday deals. They've been pretty aggressive in terms of pricing lately, so I'm looking forward to more deals.

In the separate thread for the Amazon B2G1F BR deal, Mnementh has kindly put all the titles in a price sorted table.

A few mediocre deals, like buying the three Best of Blu Ray packs, 12 films for $117.

Don't know where Best Buy got their secret stash but they have the original 60g backwards compatible PS3 in stock. I know these are pretty hard to find but maybe someone was looking for it.

Memorex Blu-ray player $149 at buy.com. Might be able to stack a 5% or $10 off coupon as well.

Is it me, or are Blu-ray prices dropping like crazy now? At least North of the border that is ... I mean, Kill Bill 1 & 2 for $14.99 each, $13.97 Fox and Lionsgate BDs at Wal*Mart, Sin City and From Dusk Till Dawn for $12.99 each, $9.99 BD deals (Pan's Labyrinth, Golden Compass) at Blockbuster ... I'm seriously expecting to see $9.99 BD pricing on boxing day ....

Yeah, I'm asking 'cause I'm kicking myself for missing that one. This guy seems to be talking about a Canadian retailer selling them for $14.99 each. If he'll give it, I'll take it!

Picked up the Panasonic BD35 today from Sears for $149.99 + tax. I'm sure others here were able to get in on this deal through perseverance. I couldn't pass this deal up for such a quality player even if I have one already.

Now waiting on BF for the movie deals.

Was it $150 in store or did you have them price match their website? Thanks.

Bought it online and did store pickup. It basically sold out online this morning in 20-30 minutes but a lot of people had success price matching at Best Buy/Sears B&M but was a YMMV. It was a 1 day deal online but word is Sears will be running some good deals in the near future.

There is a running 800+ post thread over at slickdeals.net that really tells the whole story of this deal. Lots of frustration but also a lot of lucky people.

Sears took the player off their site because of the shenanigans associated with the deal. What did they expect taking a player selling for roughly $250 and knocking $100 off the price.

It's an even sweeter deal since you get Nightmare Before Christmas & Ratatouille Blu-rays with a mail-in promotion for this player.

^

Thanks for the rundown. Of course the one day I don't check SD is the day that this deal was posted. Oh well, I don't really need it and I'm sure it will be down to this price in the near future. Costco actually has it for $230 with an HDMI cable in the box. Eighty dollars more expensive, but Costco still offers a no time limit, no questions asked return policy on DVD players.

BTW, enjoy your new player.

I few deals I wanted to make fellow members aware of going into this week:

Amazon Sony Sale
(Buy four Blu-ray Discs from this list and save an additional 15%; buy seven and save an additional 20%; buy 10 and get an additional 25% off. Hurry--this offer is only valid through November 27.)

Amazon WB Sale B2G1 Free - Still Active

J&R Black Friday Deal
(Various titles from $9.99 and up)

Warner Store Sale - Use Code: NBBM8
(50 Titles under $20)

Also, be aware that MS Live Cashback is working with the DeepDiscount sale for an additional 4% off the 25% discount. It looks like the sale ends tommorow.
