A heads up if you're looking for a backup HD-DVD player on the cheap.. Meijer had several new-in-box RCA HDV5000 units at $49.95 today on a clearance table-- $45 after you use a 10% off in-store coupon. YMMV, but I suspect many stores are clearing out any stock they have.

I have Clerks 2, bought it in release date, and it's a must buy at $2.99 if you kinda like Kevin Smith. Of course I paid $27 and it was worthy, but I'm huge fan.

Today I went to Target, bough a bottle of Tylenol, and received a $5 off coupon for a Blu-Ray movie. It expires in 11/26

I don't know how Target coupons work, if they release them nation wide or not, but be in the look up when you buy something there. I live in the Bay Area btw.

Retracting thread crap since this is a bargain thread, sorry.

Great deal on Pulse!

Lost Season 4 on Blu can be had at Wherehouse.com for $55.99 plus shipping. Best price so far plus if you have any credit through them, FYE/Suncoast credit, or something to trade in you can get it cheaper.

So by Tylenol and I get a $5 off BD coupon? Odd combination...

Not bad but shipping puts it at $59.50. Amazon is $63 + free shipping. I'll probably just stick with that. Although with the couple orders I've had with Wherehouse, I've been impressed with shipping speed.

Per the new Circuit City ad for Oct 12 posted by Speedy:

If you buy the Samsung BD-P1500 for $249, you get The Matrix Collection for FREE.

That is a terrific deal.

Crap. I might have to tell a few friends about this.

I should get another BD player and just sell the Matrix Collection to recoup some money.

Wow, that's a great deal. I need to get myself a player but not until the middle of November. I'm really tempted to buy new, even though I have Matrix coming from Warner Home Video already. Any thoughts on whether to keep waiting for deals around Christmas or just buy now?

I would have guessed there would be at least equivalent deals heading into the holidays.

Agreed.

Wait until the Sony S350 comes with this deal (which it probably will in the future).

Do they automatically lower the price if you have it pre-ordered, or do you have to ask?

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up. They automatically updated mine. I ordered this as part of the B2G1 with Caspian & Shawshank. $83 for all three.

Everything i've read about the P1500 seems to point to it being a decent player and not as bad as their earlier ones. Probably no Sony, but it seems to do the job

That is my reading of user reports as well. It is considered to be a pretty solid player, unlike some earlier models.

Wanted to give a heads up, Amazon has Wall-E 3-disc (Digital Copy included) and the 2-disc set for the same price of $24.95. Pretty good deal.

Yea, they've had that deal going for a couple of weeks now. I was going to avoid the digital copy, but for the same price, why the hell not?!

because at the end of the day all Disney sees is which version sold more. If the overpriced SRP version with the digital copy sells more, you bet your ass those will be the only versions on future releases.
