Bollocks!

... I can't really complain. The only time I ever used it was on the Cloverfield BD.

^They're talking about the POST Order price, where if the price went down 30 days after you bought it, they'd refund the difference. If you place a pre-order and the price drops before they ship it (it is released) you'll still get the lowest price...but once it ships, if it drops in price AFTER that, you won't get the refund...

Does Amazon price match at all? (For example the Fry's sales this wknd...) If so, how do you go about getting it?

Amazon will still beat most B&M prices on Blu-Ray discs on both before and after price.

I don't know if this is a big deal but YMMV anyway... But a few Best Buys in Minn. have The Scorpion King 2 BD mispriced at $14.99... If you really want this movie it might be worth it to check it out.

Amazon price matched some of bestbuy.com's deals. BB also has more clint eastwoods like gauntlet.
bestbuy.com also has these and a few others along with those in the ad. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....s&nrp=15&iht=n

Outbreak for $14.95 is tempting...but I don't know if the movie holds up as well as it did years ago when I saw it.

You can't miss Clint's orangutan movie, "Every which way but loose" at bb.com for 14.99. That holds up with citizen kane.

Eraser is a no brainer at that price.

That's also how I read it HOWEVER my pre-orders for Outbreak & Eraser are getting ready for shipping (ie. too late to change the order) and they still have the $19.95 price. I just notified CS... agree with tony that I will now have to watch these orders a lot more closely than before.

FWIW, Buy.com has the Venturer SHD7000 HD DVD player for $59.99, shipped. Includes the usual copies of 300 and The Bourne Identity:

http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-28092...53&dcaid=17653

Or they have the same player with two of these three movies: Rumor Has It, Perfect Storm, or Firewall (I think they make the choice):

Limited stock, of course.

Thanks very much Lizard. I've been trying to firesale my HD-DVD collection since my A35 seems like it's dying, I picked up one of these for a little reassurance.

Thanks lizard! When my 360 was out of action I missed being able to watch my HD-DVDs so this will make a good backup. Plus it comes with two movies I don't already have. Hope the order goes through.

Yeah I stopped ordering from those guys after they started adding tax to the orders and now with their price increases, it looks like I will probably never order from them again. First Amazon with their no price matching and now Family Video with their prices. What the hell is going on?

Doesn't familyvideo.com also charge your credit card before your item ships?

I had several items on my familyvideo.com wishlist and the prices rose over $16.00 combined. Between this, Amazon not price matching, and DVDplanet not even listing new pre-orders, I may start waiting for sales instead of pre-ordering everything.

All I do is wait for sales. Then again, I'm cheap. We have been spoiled with the BOGO sales when the format war was on. I remember the days of $8.00 blu-rays at Amazon.com. It seems so long ago...........
