Where's the >200 option.

Somehow, I always seem to be just in reach of GizmoDVD's amount of HD DVDs. I think he shops where I do.

I have around 221.

I currently have 45. The only one I still want is The Elephant Man import, so the number definitely won't get much higher. I'll eventually replace a few (2001, The Searchers, Road Warrior, Dog Day Afternoon) with the Blu version.

My HD-DVD player is actually in storage, so I haven't watched one in a while.

Haha, its sad but true. Right now I have 196 right now at my house plus another 18 duplicates that I need to sell. Still have 13 on order from iNetVideo, 5 from DD and another 10 or 15 in trades/eBay. Its getting sick really.

36 releases. The only thing I've gotten recently is Star Trek: Season 1; still looking for deals on Casablanca, Forbidden Planet, the Cowboys and the Getaway (the prices actually increased substantially on all four recently).

I don't go out buying movies I don't care to watch, so the huge price cuts on some studios titles wasn't very interesting to me. Come onnnn, WB!

Well, I have to say most of the deals were from DVD Talk.

You'd have to look way back but incidents like extremely low pricing and running down to a local B&M to take advantage of it before they pull the prices, mispricing The Matrix Complete Collection for $19.99, Discovery Channel store's low pricing on a few items a few months ago, stuff like that.

I remember most people, even myself, saying there was no way in hell HD DVDs were going to get below $7 a piece, and I can't remember who on this forum, but he received a lot of flack from saying he was holding out until they were under $7.

I'm eatin' crow. But it tastes good, baby.

THEEK, stay on board with inetvideo. You should be able to get a ton of titles for cheap. If they get WB titles, you'll score well.

33 plus Star Trek Season 1 (10 discs) and Heroes Season 1 (7 discs), so that makes 50 discs even. Most were 10 bucks and under (including the free ones), and I have no intention of replacing any with Blu-ray versions anytime soon (I have enough other Blu-ray titles that I want to buy as it is!). I'm now just waiting for a great deal on Warner HD DVDs, and then I'll buy a bunch more.

Around 15. My HD drive is essentially my Jason Bourne and Heroes player. I haven't bought any since the format went kaput.

I'm at 59, but unless there are some amazing sales on titles I want I'm done.

It's amazing and a little bit disgusting to see how my standards drop along with the price of a disc. I mean, really: "End of Days"? But $5.99 with free shipping is hard to resist.

I have 55 HD-DVD titles now, and I paid more than $10 for maybe five of them.

84 (whenever my DD order gets here), I'll only cross the 100 mark if there's some epic blowout sales a la $5 per disc shipped. There's very few titles I know of out there that I really want.

Half of my HD DVDs are only owned because they were cheap or just plain free. However, I like this part about building a collection. I ended up liking many of the movies more than I thought I would and they are probably titles I never would have watched had they not been so cheap. When discs get under $10 you can start getting more of the guilty pleasure films.

I have around 50 or so. Although HD DVD had more titles I liked than Blu-ray did, there still weren't enough for me to build out a big collection.

I have been letting a few go as they are released or announced on Blu...Vendetta, Top Gun, etc., but some may never be released again in high definition....Streets of Fire?

2: Children of Men and Knocked Up, both combo discs. All others and the player I sold. Given all of the free discs and the cheap player, I think I came out even.

I just passed 100 individual titles, plus 5 box sets. I got more than half of the individual titles from inetvideo, and ALL of the box sets from BB during the system goof that let you get Heroes plus 2 other box sets for FREE if you buy the XBOX add-on player (which I then sold on Ebay for only a $25 loss after fees)... I bought more titles than I normally would have, but the price was right. I'm currently trying to unload all of the SD titles that I just re-bought on HD-DVD. Some were still sealed, so they were easy to unload except for the out of print titles that have since been reissued, like Fletch...

And of course, BB sent me a $50 gift card for the player I didn't even keep! Gotta love BB and inetvideo...

I have NO intention of going Blu anytime soon, and when I do, I will NOT rebuy any of the HD-DVD titles I have. Unless of course both of my 2 players die. But by then the next gen format will be out, and Blu will be dead anyway...

I watched a laserdisc this weekend. I'm personally hoping for that kind of durability since I believe the player is 12 years old, but I doubt it will happen.

I think we will be ok for 2009 though. There better not be a new format next year.

I've cut back to 12, and it would be a lot less if any re-sell stores would buy HD-DVDs in my area, but they stopped doing that as soon as HD-DVD was dead. So it looks like I'm stuck with them. I do have about 70 Blu-rays now though, including some I previously had on HD-DVD.
