My thanks for keeping it civil. So many arguments here don't end that way.

 I guess we'll forever be enigmas to each other. I love the opening of Diamonds Are Forever. It's Connery at his ferocious best. And the rest is just a lot of over the top fun.

These have shown up for pre-order at Amazon for $23.95 or in a pair of three-packs for $62.95. These are very preliminary pre-orders, so no details yet.

I hope the $35 MSRP's are a sign of Fox/MGM finally alleviating some of the horrific pricing on their titles.

Nice find. Those are pretty reasonable prices and I'm glad they're available individually. I'll be getting at least a few of those.

From Russia With Love cover art, according to Amazon. Also, it appears one of their 3-packs includes Thunderball, From Russia With Love, and For Your Eyes Only. The other 3 pack includes the others.

kefrank 07-22-08 11:19 PM

thedigitalbits has cover art for all six titles today.

i am not digging it.

Zen Peckinpah 07-23-08 12:08 AM

That cover art is an epic fail.

Gizmo 07-23-08 12:18 AM

Yeah, really cheesy.

rexinnih 07-23-08 07:39 AM

Well, you will have no problem knowing which actor played Bond in which movie.

B5Erik 07-23-08 08:49 AM

I like some of the cover art.

The good...

I can't believe that they're going to use that pic of Connery on the cover of Thunderball. That's horrifically bad, and deserves a big, WTF???

But the first four there are pretty good, IMO.

Huh, with all the girls in the background, my initial glance read the lower half of the eyeball as bedsheets, lol

+1 :))

look even worse them the current SD-DVD cover. another cheap cut-n-paste job...

why can't they just use the classic original 1-sheet poster art work??

Those are always my favourite.

True. You almost have to assume that; otherwise those women appear to have no lower halves. Strange design decision.

Does MGM just not care what their product looks like on a shelf?

Yeah, I refuse to buy them now!

As long as the spines all line up, right. ;)

agreed. i believe i still have the custom covers someone made for the original 007 DVDs with the 1-sheet poster art in digital form. i will probably modify them to make custom covers for these BDs, because that cover art is terrible.

they really are lame... hoping to see some custom covers pop up when the discs eventually become available.

Hammer99 07-23-08 04:59 PM

Could be better... but I'm not into fan-made covers at all, so they will have to do.

Two Movie Cash certificates for Quantum of Solace are included in each three-pack.

I hope the mono tracks are included. Lossless audio is nice, but the remixed soundtracks were a distraction on several of the older Bonds.

Amazon has them up for pre-order for ~$63 (their standard 30% off i believe).
