LOL @ FutureShop won't get any steelbook treatment.

I looked at the Amazon sales rank of the 3 steelbooks and the Goldfinger steelbook is the only one ranked lower than the regular version. Both Moonraker and TWINE steelbooks are ranked higher than they're regular counterpart.

Yes, they did. BB opted to pass and instead nab the other two May Bonds early. Amazon then picked up the Steelbooks.

No idea whats going on with Futureshop. They were supposed to carry the SBs...but no one has seen them.

This is how rumors start. Vol. 3 does NOT have individual cases, it's the same as 1 and 2. All my continuity just went out the window.

That whole bit about the steelbooks selling like crap at Best Buy don't make much sense to me. As far as I could see, those steelbooks were the only option for the first week or two if you were shopping at Best Buy...

Yes, you are correct. Its the "fake" Volume which is QoS, License to Kill and Man with... that are in normal Blu-ray cases.

My Best Buy stocked both the slip cover and Steelbook versions from the first day. My Best Buy still has SBs on the shelves actually. If they sold well, BB would have carried the new wave of them.

That first round of steelbooks seemed to sell very well at my local BBs. They sold out pretty quickly at all 4 or so locations I visit iirc.

I think my store still has some steelbooks of the Bonds...

I caved in just ordered the Bond steels from Amazon, it cost me a hefty amount of change but i think i'll regret not picking these up once Amazon runs out of stock. The only option from there is "greed-bay".

Doesn't look like Future Shop is going to carry the steels as long as Amazon is doing it. The first wave was Best Buy exclusive and they own Future Shop so it made sense for FS to include the steels, but with Amazon i think they have the exclusive deal only.

Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread

Although I had the first wave in single releases, I just got the Vol. 3 and Best Buy boxsets so I'd be set for a while, plus it's cheaper. I was kind of annoyed about them not being the same case style but it's not really that big of a deal.

The Best Buy gift set does indeed include single cases. The old Bonds are in those eco-cases like Silence of the Lambs. :p

Anyone that picked up the Best Buy set mind taking a photo of the packaging open and closed?

I'll do it when I get home but it's just a cardboard outer box, it's pretty flimsy not "luxurious" like the Vol. 1-3 sets, with three Blu-rays inside. They have a sticker over their UPCs, too.

I picked up the Best Buy exclusive set since Licence To Kill is one of my favorite Bond movies - and the price was right - but I'm just slightly hesistant to open the set yet.

The LTK and MWTGG blu rays are the full releases, right? All the extra features included?

I just want to make sure before I open it.

To give you guys an idea, the packaging for the BB set is the same as the Rambo set. Cheapo Cardboard sleeve for three individually wrapped discs. This thing is screaming for an announcement the the same thing is going to be in true Vol. 4 packaging come May. Still haven't opened it and might not at all.

Damn - I was just in Best Buy today to pick up the Pearl Jam CD set. I would have bought the set for sure to get License To Kill now. Guess I'll try tomorrow - hopefully they'll still have some. I haven't even received my sealed copy of QoS from Amazon yet so I can always sell that as new I guess and keep the copy from the box set.

I'm confident someone will get the next wave in Steelbooks. Glad I've decided to go that route.

Everyone else's copy of QoS use that crappy recycled blu ray case too?

I've got a copy of QOS to return to Fry's assuming I'm keeping that set from Best Buy.

Anyone open the Best Buy set yet?

Pics, and yes, they have all the features. They are the exact same discs to be released in May.

Are those pics working for anyone else? Because they're not working for me.

Are those the only two titles scheduled for release in May?

Cool. Thanks!

And the pics worked for me!

I didn't bite on the steelbooks trend, I hope at the very least the discs released in May have slipcovers. That's all I ask.

I haven't seen it posted here yet, but I read at another forum that Goldfinger, Moonraker, TWINE, and Never Say Never Again will be $14.99 at Target next week.

Got my movies today from Amazon, with The World is not Enough sealed in plastic around the slipcover but the others just normally packed.
