As I said elsewhere...I would like to see Criterion move to 3 standard Blu-ray releases per month in 2009. This is a good start.

But yeah. I have to chime in about the packaging though. After getting Chungking Express and The Man Who Fell to Earth yesterday, I was a somewhat disappointed with the packaging (I have already heard about how bad the packaging is, but never really saw it before my eyes).
Hope they change this in the future.

I finally had the chance to watch the blu ray of The Third Man over the weekend, and that is one nice blu ray! Not only is the movie great (and the print looks great on blu), but the extras are fantastic.
Now if they'd only get to releasing Seven Samurai on blu ray I'd be REALLY happy.

i'll take any kurosawa but i especially would like to see high and low show up on bd. as for older criterion titles, we need bd's of insomnia, robinson crusoe on mars, for all mankind, and the killer or hard boiled.
