A bit odd that I've yet to find a single review of any of the new Criterion Blu-rays, including those released today. Anybody have any better luck?

Oh, and "Rushmore" and "Bottle Rocket" are the best Wes. Progressively diminishing returns from each Anderson film that follows.

Indeed. I'm desperate for some details/verdicts on The Third Man and Chungking Express. Wha...? Where...?

Maybe it's because they're not released today, but the 18th.

They've shuffled the release dates around a bit, and the first of them aren't due until next Tuesday. As far as I know, they haven't sent out review copies yet.

As far as I know, The Third Man, The Man Who Fell to Earth, and The Last Emperor are slated for next Tuesday with Bottle Rocket following a week later.

I'm more interested to see how Criterion will be packaging these. Ive heard numerous different scanarios from cardboard cases, to normal BD cases, to DVD sizes cases....

I thought the cases were going to be the size of a BD case, but that they weren't going to use the normal case. So I'm guessing BD sized digipack.

I've been waiting for the Criterion Bottle Rocket for almost a decade now. It is still (besides the OT Star Wars trilogy) the only film I have on VHS.

You know the DVD of Bottle Rocket has been about $5 for a few years now...right?

He was probably holding off to avoid the inevitable double dip.

I wouldn't be surprised if they try something alittle different from the other studios. Maybe a special case color or similiar.

I thought we had seen pictures of them and they're in normal BD cases.

I certainly wouldn't want DVD-sized cases. It would have been okay if the format started out like that, but now it's too late. We didn't have that problem with DVD; most of the non-standard packaging like digipacks, snappers, thinpaks, boxed sets, even thin cardboard sleeves, were roughly the same height and width of standard Amaray cases.

Hey guys:

Criterion has bumped the street dates on all November releases.

The Man Who Fell To Earth, Bottle Rocket, The Chungking Express and The Third Man now have a street date of 12/16

The Last Emperor has been bumped to 1/6

This is a huge downer. I was looking forward to Bottle Rocket and even ordered The Man Who Fell From Earth as a blind-buy.

Every Blu-ray plant must be producing The Dark Knight.

It depends on many, many factors.

Iron Man sold 500k from two different sources on release week. TDK will easily sell more.

Will TDK be the title given away this year with purchase of PS3/BD player? If so, it will be scanned and counted as a "sale".

What is the highest selling BD so far, is it still '300' or did 'Iron Man' surpass it?

Iron Man hit 850k last week if that article is beleived to be true...so it surpassed 300 on BD sales (not combined with HD DVD though).
