Yes, it does....the BD carried over all of the special features that the two disc DVD SE had (and threw in a couple new bonus features as well)....

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras

The Monster Squad doc has been shortened by 12 minutes? I thought it was extended by 12 minutes.

It's a shame, but that commentary was left off of Ferris Bueller at Hughes' request. Luckily, when Paramount did the "I Love the '80s" line they used the old disc, so it should be readily available. I remember it being a low-key but very informative commentary, and wasn't sure why Hughes would want it removed.

That's a prime example of why I want a Blu-ray player that can sync .mp3s to discs.

I was wondering about Deliverance. Doesnt look like any of the special features are on the BD. Anyone know for sure?

All the extras are listed on the back of the case, and the supplements on the DVD, HD DVD, and Blu are all identical. There's a commentary, 35th anniversary documentary, vintage featurette, and the trailer.

Just curious, but what did you see that pointed to it being featureless?

Havent seen the actual case. I was going by Amazon. They list it all on the DVDs page but not on the BDs.

Don't look to Amazon for features. Probably half of their item pages don't list the features for DVDs and Blu-Rays.

www.dvdempire.com is much more reliable in terms of listing features, and most of their listings also include a photo of the back cover, where you can see what it says on the actual packaging.

I also use DVDCompare.net. They're not always completely updated as far as listing tons of titles (but they usually are), but they're always spot on with comparisons of special features.

Ha. I was going to mention both of these sites. I always go to dvdcompare.net first, they are spot on with everything, but like Kory said, they are a little slow on brand new titles. If I don't see it on dvdcompare.net, I head over to dvdempire.com and they are usually right on for titles that may not be in dvdcompare.net yet.

Rules of Attraction (currently Best Buy exclusive)

Drops the following material:
- "Sundance Channel Presents: Anatomy Of A Scene" featurette
- Red-band trailer
- Unrated trailer
- Soundtrack promo

The audio commentaries and theatrical trailer remain in-tact and you do get the NC-17 edit of the film (whereas the DVD had the R-rated theatrical edit)... so, there's that.

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras

Should edit the first post to note that the new Memento BD does not have the following:

- Director's Commentary Alternate Endings (Limited Edition)
- Chronological Version (Limited Edition)
- Theatrical Trailers

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras

Got the New Bambi Blu-ray

- All of the previous Games & Activities is gone.
The Forest Adventure, DisneyPedia (this one is available in the DVD that comes with the Bluray), What's Your Season?, Disney's Storytime, Virtual Forest.

- Restoring Bambi (updated version would have been nice)
- The Legacy Continues: Sneak Peek at the All-New Bambi Movie (this I don't care)
* Disney Time Capsule: 1942: The Year of Bambi (I really like this one, can't believe it's not on there )

* Inside Walt's Story Meeting - Different Cut - Blu-ray has the so called "Enhanced Edition" which adds but also cuts lot of the stuff out.

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras

"Hellboy Animated" is apparently devoid of extras, where the SD versions have them.

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras

Can I get rid of my SD versions of the Shrek and Matrix movies? I know there are a few bonus features that were not carried over to HD. But are the extras worth keeping the SDs for?

Random Hearts Blu-ray does not have the 22 minute HBO First Look featurette, Isolated Music Score or Production Notes.

A Beautiful Mind on Blu-Ray does not have Oscar night clips from the DVD. This is my first post, hello everyone!

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras

This has not been updated in a while.

well

Toy Story: animated short "Tin Toy" was in the DVD, but it's missing in the blu-ray

Toy Story 2: animated short "Luxo, Jr" was in the DVD, but it's missing in the blu-ray

Stealth: DVD was 2-Disc special edition. Blu-ray doesn't have any extras except stupid introduction about blu-rays.

I don't mind them not being there because they were on the Pixar Short Films Collection, which was released in 2007.

Are there other extras missing or is that it?

I hate to sound like a broken record, but can someone please post what DVD features are missing on the Shrek Blu Ray trilogy?

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras

Blue Crush - Blu-ray is bare bones (save for the pointless BD-Live portal) while the DVD had two commentaries (cast and director), 5 featurettes, deleted scenes and a music video (as well as filmographies).
