Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras
Disney's Sleeping Beauty - Audio Commentary by Ollie Johnston, Marc Davis and Ivand Earle
Armageddon - Criterion supplements + extended cut
Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas - original commentary track with director Henry Selick
Fantasia (according to the DVDBeaver) it looks like alot of extras from the Anthology edition bit the dust.

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras
Is there a way to put this as a "sticky" so it's always available on the top?
because if I knew this was here (I'm way too lazy to search)
I wouldn't have sold/given away several of my DVDs which I really regret now.

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras
Thanks again for doing this, it's a lot of work.
For the Dinosaur - collector's edition have 2 commentaries, and I read only one of the commentary is made it on to the blu-ray
Also
NoirFan
Tombstone - commentary and few featurettes from vista series DVD
and also from the other post
jrsl76
Vampyres - loses the Anulka nudes gallery
The Girl Next Door (Anchor Bay) - loses all extras

Evil Dead is also missing Trailer, TV spots, Life After Death: Ladies of the Evil Dead, Make Up Test and Reunion Panel.
DotD '04 actually has the featurettes as part of the picture-in-picture but is missing the director's introduction and deleted scenes.

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras
Working on it. In the meantime, I added a new section at the bottom for Blu-Rays that include an SD-DVD with the extras.

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras
Updated again. According to the rear cover image on DVDEmpire, The LE Evil Dead Blu-Ray does include the reunion panel, make-up tests, and advertising spots.
Dinosaur specs on DVDCompare lists a single commentary, but names four participants, while the first track on the DVDCompare listing for the DVD lists two participants, and then a second track, so I was figuring maybe the two commentaries are just listed as one on the packaging.

Don't know if you would like to add this but the Dawn of the Dead '78 also doesn't include the Laserdisc commentary(George & Chris Romero and Tom Savini) and a UK DVD commentary(Tom Savini and somebody I can't remember).

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras
Are you saying there's a LD commentary that's the same participants as the first track on the Ultimate Edition DVD? Because according to the back of the packaging, the Anchor Bay Blu-Ray does include the one track that corresponds with the version of the film included on the disc, which is a track with George, Chris, and Savini.

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras
Here's my unofficial, uncalculated breakdown:
20th Century Fox/MGM
then: released the most 1st generation Blu-Rays with little to no extras, for both studios.
now: Fox titles consistently match or trump on extras, but MGM gets shafted with a slate entirely consisting of Blu-Ray + DVD Combo Pack titles (many -still- extra-less).
Buena Vista/Miramax/Touchstone/Walt Disney Pictures
then: released 15 or 20 early titles with lacking transfers and missing extras, but caught up fairly quickly
now: mostly matches, with a handful of weird exceptions
Lionsgate
then: released a wave or two of titles lacking extras
now: matches or trumps on extras
Paramount Pictures
then: can't think of any Paramount titles missing SD-DVD extras
now: same
Sony/Columbia Pictures
then: released titles with 75% or 80% of the extras
now: matches extras
Universal Studios
then: repurposed extras into PiP tracks
now: usually matches or trumps extras (when the titles they release ever had extras, that is)
Warner Bros.
then: can't think of any WB titles missing SD-DVD extras
now: same

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras
Anyone know if there is anything missing on Shrek: The Whole Story Blu Ray set? I know the standalone adventures like Shrek The Halls and Shrek 3D are not there, but what about the games, technical goofs, gag reels, etc. Some of these bonus features that were on the deluxe DVD sets are NOT listed on BluRay Digest's website as supplements on any of the discs!

Sadly, The Maltese Falcon blu-ray does not include the two previous versions of the film [The Maltese Falcon (1931) and Satan Met a Lady] which were included in the previous three disc SE DVD release.

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras
I own lot of Warner Bros. Blu-ray, so I didn't really realized until recently but most studios except Warner Bros., don't include the theatrical trailers now, especially Sony/Columbia.(the next studio that I have the most blu-ray of) They just have bunch of previews, which actually makes me more upset
If they can put trailers for other movies, why can't they have trailer for its own movie?
I would guess that lot of people think trailer is insignificant extra, but I really love and want them as extras. It's great to see, especially the old ones. I will usually just watch once for those detailed and long documentaries/featurettes, but for the trailer, I usually watch it everytime after finishing the movie.
I guess there are too many movies that are missing to list, but maybe we can put the name of the studio that normally don't put them. Or just put Warner Bros. as only studio that usually include them (is there other studio that also include trailer in almost all of their releases?)

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras
Got the Shrek Boxset today.
All the blu-ray have "Animator's Corner" extra which shows up while playing the movie(PiP) I didn't see all of it, but it seems lot of the old footages are shown here in little bits at a time. I'm guessing lot of the complete featurettes were edited to fill up this Picture in Picture extra.
So the blu-ray is missing lot of the featurette from the DVD or not available as complete and separate featurette.
(All the production notes are missing, and the games from DVD, but I didn't really care enough to check each one - sorry)
Shrek
Shrek 2
Shrek 3

Re: Definitive List of Blu-Rays without all SD extras
Glad to see this thread is back. I've got a huge stack of DVDs that I'm trying to figure out what extras were/weren't carried over. Here's a few I've noted after doing my own comparisons at DVDcompare:
Ferris Bueller's Day Off(1986)
- Audio commentary by John Hughes from the original release
MASH (1970)
- film restoration featurette
-Easter egg: On disc one, from the "Special Features" menu, highlight "THX Optimode", go right to highlight the symbol of a helicopter and press enter to access a foreign language trailer of the movie.
Monster Squad
Note that the blu-ray release includes the same amount of extras as the dvd release, but that some changes have been made:
- The documentary has been shortened by 12 minutes and also includes footage not available on the DVD.
- There are 7 additional minutes of deleted scenes (footage from the film's TV version has been added).
- The animated storyboard sequence now includes a direct picture-in-picture comparison between the storyboards and the final scene from the movie itself.
SNATCH
-B-roll footage
-"Sound bites" cast & crew interviews
-"jump to a Song" feature

Does The Fly (1986) have the Fear the Flesh documentary found on the two disc? I was looking at it in Best Buy today and didn't see it listed, so I didn't grab it.
