I called yesterday. Was told they send the e-mail shortly before they mail the gift cards. The rep told me they are being send out alphabeticaly at 10,000 per day. They have a database of eligible buyers registered by credit card.
I'll be getting two, as I bought two XBox add-ons during that amazing deal back in November.

I wonder why I haven't gotten an email message or phone call yet. If they're doing it alphabetically, I should have been one of the first to be notified.

What would be interesting (IMHO) is if people who post that they got the email, would also post what letter their last name starts with, so we can have a sense of their progress.

My email address is set to one I no longer have access to and I don't remember my password to my Rewardzone account, so I can't change it. I assume they've sent me the email, though, and my name should put me in the first day or so. We'll see.
I'll gladly accept the $50 gift certificate, but I'm kind of surprised they didn't just send out a coupon redeemable for 2-3 free HD DVDs. That would have cleared out their excess stock and (presumably) made people happy.

I just checked my receipt, and I bought my second HD DVD player on 2/24, the day after the cut-off. I did get an e-mail, though, so I guess the player I bought in 2006 qualifies.

No e-mail, but I did get an automated phone call from BB telling me I would be receiving a $50 gift card in the coming weeks. (Purchased an XBox add-on during the Heroes promotion snafu.)
