A few quick questions abot EzyDVD - How long does it take from order until it arrives here? Has pretty much everyone on here had no issues with ordering from them?

I've ordered quite a few R4 DVD's (no HD or clearance discs though) from them and they've all arrived around a week or so with the regular shipping. They and Amazon UK are really quick in that regards IMO.

Negative, I placed an order on 2/26 that I still have yet to receive. After 3 emails someone finally responded saying that my credit card had been declined even though I paid with paypal and have plenty of money in the account and they still have their authorization charge pending. I responded to that email and still have heard nothing. I give their customer service 2 middle fingers up.

You may want to pass. I have just gone through both units that my local FYE had and they are both duds. It won't boot up. It just remains frozen on "Welcome". I'm bummed because it's really an impressively built machine, but I don't need a 20 lb paperweight.

problems seem to be the definite exception. i made four separate orders and got them all in a week.

Got lucky tonight at Circuit City. After reading the previous post about a possible 75% off sale this weekend, I called a store about 30 miles away to see if they knew of any upcoming discounts. The customer service girl said that all HD DVDs were currently 75% off, but were boxed up and getting sent back soon. I drove out to the store and they pulled the box out of the back room to let me look through it. When they went to ring me up, everything rang up full price. I explained what I'd been told on the phone and the manager ok'd giving me the 75% discount. I picked up some for myself and some for a friend. Here's the haul:

It's obviously a huge YMMV, but probably worth a call to your local Circuit City to see what they say. The store I bought at said that all stores had received instructions to return their entire HD DVD stocks by this weekend.

THat is a huge haul of films, but I"m not sure I actually want any of those other than one or two ... I"m assuming there are other films and you only listed what you bought (which likely was bought to supplement the other films you already own)... I'll have to check out the CC here, but I bet they're out of everything.

Yeah, there were probably around 100 other titles, but they were all things I either already owned or had no interest in. I'd definitely call the store before heading there, as it's a big YMMV and will depend on individual store managers and whether or not stores have already sent their stock back. I called another store and they shipped out their entire stock of HD DVDs on Monday.

All of the CCs in my area that I called said they're all gone but were at 75% off :(

Looks like I was too late.

No CC clearance at any of the six stores in my area. They're either stuck at 50%, "already sent back," or back up to full price(!). Shit.

The CC in Pearland had quite a few titles in the 50% off Bin (including Matrix Sets).

You might try them first.

The one place I called up today got me someone who had an evil laugh when I asked about any sales on HD Dvds ...and said there weren't any, or that he didn't know (he shifted back and forth a few times). It was kind of surreal.

Oh well, I'll call up more later.. I'm at work, after all.

Is there any particular reason that you've been amazingly difficult in this thread over the past month? I mean really, what do you want here, someone to exalt you as some sort of clearance sale demi-god? You need to back off a bit, man...If it's all about glory, then you should stop posting here - we have these threads to discuss deals, not gloat.
