Prices are updated online now, but are mostly OOS. You might get lucky with ISPU though.

Morpheus Phreak 04-05-08 06:50 PM

The DVDCrave price on Beowulf jumped back up to $37 and they only have one copy left in stock.

I also still haven't heard back from ezyDVD regarding my Terminator 2 disc. At this point it seems like they've cut all communications with me and I have not been issued a refund. So be very careful.

Traxan 04-06-08 01:57 AM

Fry's sure hasn't gotten on the bandwagon. I was there today. BSG season 1 on HD was $79. Like hell...

XBOX360 04-06-08 02:21 AM

Fry's is still one of the cheapest. All of their Warner's are down to $13.99 and most of the Universals are $11.99 and less.

stonewall 04-06-08 08:18 AM

Check your local Hasting if you have one. Most used stuff is $9.99 and the new stuff is either $12.99 or $16.99.

I pick up blade runner for $16.99, Into the Wild $12.99, Road Warrior $12.99.

sbelli 04-06-08 08:43 AM

Had hoped that Best Buy would start running their rumored online clearance today. But nothing...ugggh.

Warner NON-COMBOs are $13.99, COMBOs are $16.99. Bummer since all new releases are Combos.

Not at the one in Austin. Most Universals are stil in the $15.99-$19.99 range. I finally got Miami Vice, but for $19.99. I didn't really care since this is the last HD DVD I was looking for.

movieking 04-06-08 08:12 PM

BBV in Canada are selling their used HD-DVDs at $9.99 starting tomorrow, and they have a deal now in place where you buy two PPV, and get one free, but this ends today. Some stores jumped the gun so you can get 3 used HDs for $20 plus tax. There is a 30 day warranty, so it might be a good time to stock up.

Amazon B1G1. Accept no substitute. It has to happen. Hope, hope.

I would have already happened. At this point, HD DVD is gone from most physical stores. Why should Amazon have a sale? If you want HD DVD, you either have eBay or Amazon really. They don't have to worry about shelves and what not, they have limitless room. I don't see any big sale from Amazon anytime soon. Sucks...but I'm glad I got most of what I could possibly ever want to own on HD DVD.

Thanks for the tip!

just went to my local Hasting and has the same Sale. picked up used titles like Into the Wild, Kingdom, Micheal Clayton for $9.99 each... I missed out Blockbuster and Hollywoodvideo sale so I guess this one will do for me...

There are mores I will like to get, but maybe I will wait to see if they will lower to under-$10ea, new or used...

Moopher 04-07-08 02:15 PM

Just got my Black Snake Moan and Into the Wild from Ezydvd. I only ordered 10 days ago, so this is a good deal.

HistoryProf 04-07-08 04:19 PM

i received all four of my orders from ezydvd today!!!! a 7-10 days on each...can't beat that.

Sweet Baby James 04-07-08 04:30 PM

I just picked up an XA1 for $85(plus tax) from FYE this afternoon. The price was $100, with 10% off for my Backstage Pass and a $5 coupon brought it down to $85. I had store credit from my recent trade-ins, so I couldn't resist. It will make a good back-up player as well as a good CD player. This unit is new, not a refurb. For anyone in Southern CT, the FYE in the Milford mall had 1 remaining as of this afternoon.

HistoryProf 04-07-08 04:59 PM

I just noticed that the Australian HD DVD cases are thicker...same height/width, but as thick as a regular amaray case. Still, for about $7 or $8 per film, i'm not complaining at all :)

The F.Y.E. by me has a couple XA1's brand new in sealed boxes for $79, minus my B.S.P. discount it would be $71.10 plus tax ($75.45 total). They were both still there last night, I'm not sure whether I should grab one or not, any opinions on this model?

I mentioned this several days back, the Hastings by me has probably 1/3 of their NEW ones for $9.99, most of the rest are $16.99, so as far as new ones go Hastings is the best deal I can find right now. I've bought about 7 titles from there now, all for $9.99.

John Galt 04-07-08 05:44 PM

Well ezydvd finally responded to my email and told me that the reason my order hadn't been processed was because my credit card had been declined, despite the fact that I payed with paypal. I wonder how long it will take for them to straighten this mess up

PaulV 04-07-08 05:59 PM

Re: ezydvd, I ordered one HD DVD (Into The Wild), and on the shipping confirmation email they indicated a shipping charge of $9.50, which is what it would've been if I had ordered two HD DVDs. Of course, I only ordered one and the shipping should have been $5.50 per their shipping charges table. Still waiting for them to reply to my many emails. I'll likely have to let the credit card company deal with this one.

UPDATE: For the record, ezydvd got back to me and issued a credit for the erroneous, additional shipping charge. So, all's well with respect to the payment issue.

Arpeggi 04-07-08 06:05 PM

Second Spin B&M has 20% off any used cd/dvd/hd dvd/blu-ray/game if you buy 4 or more. I found a brand new Cinderella Man marked as used. Got it for $10.xx.

Well, I obviously think that it's worth it.:) This unit was their flagship product and they didn't skimp on the build quality(it's built like a tank). It's easily worth the $75 for the redbook CD playback alone. May I ask where you live? I'm curious about the pricing. Reading other forums(AVS), $99 seems to be the going price. I'm wondering if this is regional pricing or if FYE is getting ready to drop the price even more. I'll have to check my other FYE locations to see if they are also pricing it at $79.

Gizmo 04-07-08 07:45 PM

No FYE by me otherwise I'd buy both. Never knew about the redbook CD playback...

mazzystar 04-07-08 08:12 PM

Wow, my order from ezydvd just arrived. It shipped on Mar 31st. Ah I'm so happy to have BSG!!!!!

Here's some nice shiny pics :)
