Will pop it in check right now.
Edit: Miniseries is included. Just popped the first disc in, and it's on! :) |
But how does it look, man! Do tell!

Looks frakking great. I'm not too savvy with the lingo but, appears to be quite a bit of grain like review said. Looks great either way though. Yay. Now if only they would release Seasons 2 and 3, on blu.
|
Sweet.... I'm expecting my "shipped on 3/27" order to arrive any day now. And I'm psyched that the miniseries is included, even though I'll take some of the heat for the original confusion.
https://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/796525 AU$31.66 (GST Free) + AU$9.50 s/h = AU$41.16 = US$38 or so. Still available. |
Got my ezydvd order today as well...thought it was odd the hddvd cases are thicker- more like regular dvds.

I'm digging that packaging so much more than the R1 release. |

man...i'm hoping they end up blowing out more at those prices. I'm still shocked i got them in exactly one week from australia. in fact, they managed to get those to me faster than an order from DDD placed a day earlier

And, without sounding like a complete idiot, these will play in any HD-DVD player, correct (the ones from Australia, I mean)?

I'm wondering if this is regional pricing or if FYE is getting ready to drop the price even more. I'll have to check my other FYE locations to see if they are also pricing it at $79.

Who is the shipping carrier for these discs from Australia? UPS or USmail?
|
Usmail I believe.

I received my BSG set from ezydvd today. It was shipped on March 31st.
|
Very happy with Ezydvd's shipping. I ordered Lucky Number Slevin from deep discount the same day, and have yet to receive it.

went back to my local CC to see if they still had the bin full of hd dvd's for 50% off (where i was lucky enought to grab around 12 titles at 50% off their online price last week including american gangster and tranformers for $9.99 which by the way were not in the 50% off bins on the store floor, BUT in a box behind the CS counter..i was lucky enough to see this box behind the counter and asked if i could have those also for 50% off of their web which they did) and they had filled the floor bins back up to the top, with titles that they had kept in the stockroom so they didnt sell for 50% off!! SOB's..LOL Anways, there was no sale as we all thought due to the fact there were no hd dvd's in CC ad... but i spoke to a manager and he said they "anticipate" a 75% off hd dvd's this weekend (didnt say sat or sun) to get rid of all of them! i dont know if this is CC wide, or just a local managers sale...but i know that nobody is going to buy them at full msrp during the week..and they have a few hundred left..i hope he was telling the truth!

EzyDVD.au HD Sale Update
Several titles are now OOS. Exchange rate has declined slightly (making things fractionally more expensive in US$)
Updated prices/availability in red Linky: http://www.ezydvd.com.au/promo.zml?p...&dreg=1&dsav=1 Sets (w/flat rate shipping) Battlestar Galactica S1 AU$31.66 + AU$9.50 s/h = US$38.20 (Note 1) Harry Potter S1-S5 AU$45.30 + AU$20 s/h = US$60.60 (Note 2) Star Trek TOS S1 AU$90.75 + AU$20 s/h = US$102.70 These sets have their own shipping rates and are NOT counted when computing shipping for individual titles. Set Notes: (1) The Aussie BSG HD does include the S1 mini-series, and has superior packaging to the North American release, making this an incredible deal even with the extra shipping cost! (2) The Harry Potter S1-S5 HD "set" is for the movies only. This is not the same as the HP Gift Set. Individual Titles (see shipping rates below) AU$6.29 = US$5.90 Born on the Fourth of July Frighteners Good Shepherd Holiday Mr. Bean's Holiday Ray Red Dragon AU$7.20 = US$6.70 Black Snake Moan Four Brothers Into The Wild Mighty Heart AU$9.02 = US$8.40 American Werewolf in London <strike>Babel</strike> Backdraft <strike>Blazing Saddles</strike> Carlito's Way Casino Children of Men Dante's Peak Daylight Deer Hunter Dragonheart Game Heartbreak Kid Hulk I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry Jarhead King Kong Land of the Dead <strike>Manchurian Candidate</strike> Miami Vice Nacho Libre Out of Sight <strike>Rio Bravo</strike> Skeleton Key Smokin' Aces Spartacus Superman Superman II: Richard Donner Cut Thing (John Carpenter's) Under Seige AU$11.75 = US$10.90 2 Fast 2 Furious Apollo 13 Big Lebowski Chronicles of Riddick Doom F&F-Tokyo Drift Fast and the Furious Harry Potter 1-5 (individual titles) Italian Job Knocked Up Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Leaving Las Vegas Next Sahara Serenity Shaun Of The Dead Shrek the Third <strike>Top Gun</strike> Van Helsing Waterworld AU$13.56 = US$12.60 Hot Fuzz Mummy Returns Total Recall AU$16.21 = US$15.10 Bourne Ultimatum International Shipping 1 = AU$5.50 = US$5.10 2 = AU$9.50 = US$8.90 3 = AU$18.00 = US$16.70 (includes insurance and registration) 4 = AU$21.00 = US$19.50 (includes insurance and registration) 5 = AU$25.00 = US$23.20 (includes insurance and registration) The prices shown in AU$ are adjusted to remove GST. The conversion into US$ is based on today's exchange rate (AU$1.00 = US$0.9269), and are rounded up to the next highest US$0.10. |
Wish that Total Recall would drop some more. Interested since it's unavailable in the States, but not sure if I'm interested enough to pluck down $17.70 US (Including shipping) for it.
Anyone got it? Decent transfer? |
