Working today on what may very well be the most offensive film we've ever had the privilege of releasing. Koretsugu Kurahara's EROS SCHOOL: FEELS SO GOOD. I'm not exaggerating in the least. Whew!
He's got my interest!!

I wish Ballyhoo would finish up the Hammer extras already - it seems like forever since the films were announced.

Killer Nun has dropped to $16.99. I have no idea why Strip and Night Train are still priced so high.

Synopsis
SHOCKINGLY VIOLENT AND SURREAL... A MASTERPIECE OF THE GOTHIC WESTERN!
Tomas Milian (TRAFFIC, RUN MAN RUN) stars as a half-breed bandit double-crossed and left for dead who rises from the grave to seek his revenge. But when his quest leads to a bizarre town called 'The Unhappy Place,' he is plunged into an odyssey of gruesome torture, graphic violence and relentless sexual depravity. This is the landmark movie that fans and critics still consider to be the strangest - and most controversial - 'Spaghetti Western' ever made. This is DJANGO KILL!
Director Giulio Questi (DEATH LAID AN EGG) and Co-Writer/Editor Franco Arcalli (co-writer of ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA and LAST TANGO IN PARIS) shocked the world with this hallucinatory tale of greed, corruption, perversion and beyond. Also known as SE SEI VIVO SPARA (IF YOU LIVE, SHOOT!), this definitive presentation of DJANGO KILL! has been created from the original Italian negative with all its infamous scenes of savagery and slaughter now fully restored in stunning High Definition!

From Don May Jr.'s Facebook:
Funny story. After seeing the review of THOU SHALT NOT KILL...EXCEPT from DVDTALK.COM, Bruce Campbell himself sent an email to our distributor rep that said the following, "Jesus Christ! Was that the same movie I worked on?"
Pretty funny.

After I posted it, I read it and it didn't sound right to me for some reason.
EDIT: Also, I have a habit of over-editing. It's an OCD thing I think.

Hopefully that was the good kind of "Jesus Christ!"

That said, I do love BU and their output most of the time. Their low points are still above many others and I'll probably pick this up when I can grab it cheap... against many warnings haha

While I can applaud the enthusiasm and ambition behind Thou Shall Not Kill...Except, I found sitting through the thing to be a trying experience. It was like watching a bunch of well-meaning but hopelessly amateurish high school kids trying to make a movie in their backyard. I understand that paltry budgets and wooden acting are par for the course in many b-movies, but, when it comes to films like this and the Troma twaddle, I can't even suspend my disbelief enough to accept that I'm viewing an actual movie, and not just filmed footage of non-actors reciting unconvincing dialog that, to be honest, sounds like they transcribed every unoriginal cliche from every lunk-headed action movie ever made and just tossed it together five minutes before filming. I felt like I was watching a full-length version of the homemade camcorder stuff from Son of Rambow. Nonetheless, it did look superb, all things considered, and I'll definitely view all of the extras before selling my copy on Amazon. It's a cute piece of genuinely inspired student filmmaking, but that's about it.
