Thanks for the heads-up on Evil Dead II. I've never seen it...seen Evil Dead 1 and Army of Darkness (which I have on HD-DVD). An easy buy from Deep Discount - I haven't ordered from those guys in ages. So a good buy for me.

While browsing Amazon, I noticed that most of these titles are $19.95 there as of now, which is about $4 off their usual pricing. There could be others, but I don't know.

Happy Feet is regular price, and Justice League isn't a "deal" because its MSRP is ~$30 so it's always $19.95.

Well, I never had the discount when all of you did. I didn't become an HD owner until the very end of last year. For some reason I got the discount at that time and it has stayed ever since.

FYI, Halloween is still 12 bucks at deepdiscount.com along with all the Anchor Bays ...

I'm about to chuck my HD-A1 out the window -- it's just a flaky, worthless player -- and I'd like to get a newer model to take its place. I haven't seen much in the way of sales on the more recent HD DVD players. Are there any, or is the A30 for $129 at Circuit City still my best/only bet?

IF you don't care about open boxed, some Best Buys still have A30's for $39.99 - $79.99. You can ALWAYS talk them down on these players too.

uBid also has a bunch of A30s right now (used).

I think there were reports of FYE selling XA1's for 79.99

$99.88 at my FYE. They had 2 and they were both duds. It wouldn't boot up, no matter what I tried. It just stayed frozen on Welcome.
