I noticed some price drops on Amazon...

Ice Age $25.95
Terminator 2 $12.95
I, Robot $25.95
Stargate $12.95
The Adventures of... $18.95
ID4 $25.95
Gattaca $18.95
Total Recall $12.95
IMAX - Africa $13.95
IMAX - Alaska $13.95

Looks like only an additional 5-10% but still...

I knew about the price drops, noticed them on Saturday. Didn't realize Gattaca was part of that so emailed for a credit.

I got $6 back the other day on Walk Hard, Gattaca, i Robot and Alvin & The Chipmunks...I was originally denied because the other discs in my order were part of the buy 2 get 1 free, but I complained about the rejection and got it sorted out (glad I did since the price dropped literally 2 days after my order shipped).

I did the 2/$45 deal at Best Buy and got AVP:R and Commando. They had a few copies of AVP:R that came with a boxcover. The case slides out of the side. It's a very sturdy cover.

Walmart.com has Before The Devil Knows You're Dead Blu-Ray for $19.87. I just got Best Buy to price match it so I could use my shiny new HDDVD refund gift-card.

No. It's the same Elite style case that Fox uses, but that case comes with a slipcover. The Elite case comes out of the side. I had no idea they were going to offer a slipcover with this release, but I'm glad they did. I prefer having those. Jumper looks like it will have one as well.

I saw the 2-pack, but didn't really look at it. I think it was just both movies in the box.

I went to the car and got the AVP2 BD. The slipcase is actually about the size of a dvd case. The bottom of the slipcase has about an inch think piece of the packaging and the BD case is sitting on that.

The UPC is part of the box. No sticker.

Anyone know if you can haggle open-box prices with Circuit City? My local one had a Panasonic DMP-BD30 for $419; it was obviously a previous floor model, as it had some scuff marks and was missing the box and the instructions. Needless to say, I don't feel it's worth $419, but I might have paid $325 for it, which is still probably too much.

Sure. Find a manager, and start a conversation. They'll want to get it off the books, and will work with you if you make a reasonable offer.

Heck, you can haggle w/any of the big stores, open box or not. The Best Buy and HH Gregg stores in Brooklyn, Ohio are great for that, depending on the salesman. I just go to the same ones when I want something (not movies). I wouldn't give them more than 200.00 for that unit

If anyone is looking for a Toshiba HD-A30, I saw a bunch of them today at the "new" CompUSA for $119.

No go at my Best Buy; big surprise.

I returned the unopened copy of the DVD I bought on Tuesday and asked if they'd price match Wal-Mart on the Blu-ray (had a printout with me), but was told they can't price match a website. I swear, if there were anywhere else to actually buy movies around here, I'd never set foot in BB again.

Thanks for posting -- I've been waiting for a deal on the Gilmour disc. That's less than they are currently charging for the DVD.
